िविषय: Third meeting of the Committee for preparation of Standard Technical Specification for
Steel Pole Type Structure-reg.

महोदय / Sir,
As you are aware that CEA vide letter No. I/13446/2021 dated 27.01.2021 had
constituted a Committee for preparation of Standard Specification for Steel Pole type Structures
under the Chairmanship of Chief Engineer (PSE&TD), CEA comprising members from CEA,
utilities, CPRI, SERC, pole manufacturers and EPTA.
The first meetings of the Committee was held on 18 th February, 2021 through Video
Conferencing. Based on deliberations in the meeting, a draft specification was prepared and
circulated to all utilities/stakeholders for comments and valuable input. Subsequently, the
comments/observations received from utilities/stakeholders were discussed in detail in the
second e-meeting held on 26th May, 2021. Since, many issues / provisions in the technical
specification relating to civil foundation, MQP, FQP etc. (on which comments have been
received) could not be discussed in the meeting, the Committee decided to discuss the
remaining issues in the next meeting.

In view of above, the third e- meeting of the Committee under the chairmanship of
Chief Engineer (PSE&TD), CEA, is scheduled at 2:30 PM on 16 th August,2021 through
Video Conferencing to discuss the comments/observations received from stakeholders and
finalize the specifications. The link of the meeting shall be shared in due course of time.
