Part 2

The problem with jeepney modernization is that not all pistons can

immediately convert to E-jeep, especially now that the pandemic, because more

people have lessened their income each day they pass the jeepney on the road.

Research shows that strict implementation of PUVMP and TBTU is a strong driving

force for E-jeep investment. Among the given factors, the interviewee highlighted

the adequate disposition of old vehicles, especially old vehicles that have been in

operation for more than 30 years.

They added that the government should provide subsidies, not only for

purchasing E-jeep but also for used PUVs. Respondents also support the

implementation of the new transportation policy on the purchase of private cars, that

is, "no garage, no car." The policy prohibits buyers from acquiring new vehicles that

do not have private parking spaces for vehicles. This policy aims to alleviate

congestion in the city by reducing the number of private cars on highways,

prohibiting illegal parking of cars on the street, and encouraging the public to take

USP. While demand for PUVs is increasing, strict implementation of PUVMP will

encourage drivers, operators, and investors to adopt E-jeeps.

The reason for this with the pistons is that they can not afford the E-jeep

easily even if the DOTr (Department of Transportation) make it as an installment,

the government agency will earn more when it comes to the price of the E-jeep, but

if they make it an installment, the income for the E-jeep that will be implemented by

the government should be zero percent gross income, I think it is a win-win for the
pistons, but since it's pandemic now maybe they can postpone it first and not all

jeepney drivers own the jeep, most of them just pass by.

The effect of the implementation of the modern jeepney will be to reduce

road pollution, improve public safety it suits up with CCTV and GPS, improve

punctuality as a result drivers will no longer be able to compete with passengers on

each route they take and enhance the comfort of the passenger.

When it comes to the situation of pistons, I think they are having a hard time

with their current situation especially pandemic, and the government continues to

promote the implementation of the E-jeep. Respondents agreed that e-PUV, which

provides more comfortable and safer passenger cars, is more attractive than E-jeep.

Consumers have a good understanding of safety, convenience and purchase price,

and the claim of types of autonomous cars, and they are more likely to buy cars.

Another convenient feature of e-PUV is that you can easily pay via the electronic

wallet, so you can make accurate payments without cash or change. It is a

complement to the modern features of E-jeep, including air conditioning and Wi-Fi

connection, providing additional comfort for passengers with high traffic, severe

heat, and air pollution. cultural barriers should be added to the list because heritage

advocates worry that the aesthetic value of the jeep has become a symbol of

Philippine culture and art. On the other hand, the more advanced modern jeepneys

will become one more attraction for local and international tourists, as is a modern

symbol that cannot be found in any other country.

While phasing out the old jeepney, I found out and realized why they didn't

upgrade or replace the old jeep with new parts. If these things, I think the

government likes to replace polluting parts with non-polluting parts, then the piston

will save even more. The electrification of public transport is, directly and

indirectly, related to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.

The direct transportation objectives of the Sustainable Development Goals

include: ensuring that people of all ages can enjoy healthy lives and promoting their

health through road safety; ensure that all people have access to affordable, reliable,

sustainable, and modern. energy and improve the energy efficiency of electronic

jeeps; establish a flexible infrastructure, promote inclusive and sustainable

industrialization and promote innovation through roads, bridges, railways, and other

sustainable infrastructure to public transport.

The sustainable model makes cities and human settlements inclusive, safe,

resilient, and sustainable, and ensures sustainable consumption and production

methods, and provides energy sources for sustainable transport. On the other hand,

the indirect goal includes guaranteeing the healthy life and well-being of all people

of all ages by improving air quality, making cities and human settlements an

inclusive development, safe, resilient, and sustainable. Sustainable cities and public

transport and take emergency measures to reduce greenhouse gas emissions

generated by electric vehicles and tackle climate change and its impact.
Part 3

We chose this project because it is one of the challenges facing the Filipino

people, it could cause no one to ride in case the old jeepneys are phased out, it

could also cause many drivers to dissipate their jobs and lose their food family.

With the government's implementation for the modern jeepney, I'm not surprised

that many jeepney drivers don't just agree with what the government agency

wants to happen, other than the high cost for the E-jeep they also don't know

where to get paid. Because not everyone who passes a jeep on the road is also the

one they pass by, most of them just pass by and pay the boundary to the owner of

the vehicle.

This project is good to talk about because it is one of the jeepneys that has

been imprinted in our history when it comes to road vehicles, we also didn't

choose it because we just got hit. this is a healthy discussion because many will

be affected when the old jeep is gone, first and foremost the job its scope is the

barkers, operators, and drivers. because of the researchers who improve every

time they come, they improve the lives of every Filipino, however, it also reduces

the number of workers who have nowhere else to go because they are

unfortunate.
The possible solution here is if they allow drivers to be exempted from the

tax and use it first and give them enough time when they can pay for the E-jeep

that the government agency wants to implement. when it comes to the modern

jeepney being implemented, it is better compared to the old jeepneys, it will

reduce crimes because it suits up with CCTV and GPS. It also conducts a large-

scale advertising campaign to publicize the benefits of electric public

transportation, and the government subsidy program.

All I can say as an organization of our community is that the government

agency should also hear our grievances when it comes to the modern jeepney they

are implementing. We would like not to surprise the drivers/pistons to convert to

modern jeepneys immediately, we can give them enough time to work out how

they can convert to modern jeepneys. When it comes to the government's plan to

implement a modern jeepney, it is good for our environment because it reduces

road pollution, it also provides comfort to passengers riding in a modern jeepney,

and most of all it is safer. compared to old jeepneys because it suits up with

CCTV and GPS.

It is difficult for some drivers/pistons because they are the ones who can be

adjusted for the modern jeepney that the government agency wants to implement

but on the other hand, it will bring good for everyone. because every day

something new is invented by experts and researchers so we also need to adjust

for the comfort of each other. For the part of the piston, if the government agency

removes the tax on the E-jeeps they sell, and makes it even more for jeepney
drivers, it will be better. just in case this happens even more will take a modern

jeepney and start a new or sideline job.
