    (a) Trucking - With the help of satellite systems, the company can easily track down the
    short cuts and routes that are not busy and without any traffic going on. This will make the
    delivery of products faster and easier which is effective in lessening the waiting time of the
    customers. Moreover, the costs of fuel will also be cut down and delivery performance will be
    improved.

    (b) Farming and Food Distribution - Farmers and Food Distributors can gain benefits from
    the satellite systems through the use of GPS. This enables them to keep tap of the market
    demands of certain locations. They can easily make adjustments on their supply and market
    their products in that area.

    (c) Manufacturing - Manufacturers can make use of satellites in terms of logistics. They can
    keep track of the delivery from the source or suppliers through navigating the shipment. By
    this, they can easily know how much time it would take in order for them to start processing
    the goods. They can also use it for monitoring the delivery time of the product to the point of
    consumption.

    (d) Ambulance - With the use of satellite systems, the ambulance can speed up their health
    aid services because they can easily identify routes that could shorten the travelling time. By
    arriving on the patient as quickly as possible, not only they can save time but also save the
    life of the patients.

    2. The local culture and practices of the country where the business operates should be
    comprehended by operations managers. This will serve as a key determinant for them on
    how to achieve sustainability and also take advantage of that information to attract potential
    markets. As culture shows the nature of the people and their preferences, managers can
    easily create products or services based entirely on what their wants and needs are. In that
    way, they can establish a larger market base and customers in that area will patronize their
    products or services as well as satisfying them with those.
