    3 Match the vehicle types in 1 with the descriptions.


    a) A four wheel drive is a good vehicle for off-road use.
    b) A hatchback has three or five doors. The tailgate at the back is usually called a door.
    You can put down the back seats and carry cases.
    c) A limousine is a large expensive car, with a long chassis and wide body. It needs a big
    engine.
    d) A convertible has two doors and a soft roof that you can fold down. It is a good vehicle
    for driving in warm countries.
    e) A saloon has two or four doors. The engine is at the front and the boot (for cases)
    is at the back.
    f) A coupe is a two-door vehicle with a hard roof.
    g) An estate car has a long body, square at the back, with four doors. You can put down
    the back seats and load large objects through the tailgate.
    h) A people carrier has a large body and five to eight seats. It is a good vehicle for large families.

    Use the box spanner to raise or loosen the end of the car.
    Use the jack to tighten or put on the tyre.
    Use the tyre changer to take off or lower the dust cap.
    Use your fingers the wheel nuts.

    Changing a tyre
    1 Take the hub cap off the wheel.
    2 Loosen the wheel nuts on the wheel with a box spanner.
    3 Push the jack under the car. Raise the end of the car.
    4 Take the wheel nuts off the wheel
    5 Take the wheel off the axle
    6 Use the tyre changer and take the tyre off the wheel.
    7 Replace the valve on the inside of the wheel.
    8 Use the tyre changer and put the new tyre on the wheel.
    9 Switch on the compressor
    10 Use the airline and inflate the tyre.
    11 Put the dust cap on the valve.
    12 Put the wheel on the wheel balancer . Balance the wheel.
    13 Put the wheel on the axle
    14 Put the wheel nuts on the wheel and tighten them.
    15 Lower the car and put the hub cap on the
    wheel.
