to improve their teaching skills and knowledge.
1.2. COMPONENTS OF PLC

 Teaching is crucial- is the first component of PLC. The teachers need to be able to read
the leaners feelings, by just looking on their faces. Teachers must set the learning goals
and the steps to getting there for that student, yes it is not possible to do the task
perfectly but trying by all means will give good results.
 Collaboration- is the second component of PLC. The staff members should work together
peacefully and share their goals and ideas. A PLC meeting are not only done to share
data’s, but they meet to achieve common goals their grade level and for the school.
 Dedication to results- is the final component of a successful PLC. Teachers meet every
week to combine their status reports of their common assessments.in these meetings
they don’t focus on the lower performer, but on creating an atmosphere where the
success of others can be shared and replicated.
1.4.
 How PLC at schools benefit teachers:
PLC is formed in schools that are ready to take big strides in improving student learning.
They look at student data, analyses school system, and examines all facets of student’s
achievement. When PLCs are set up to help students learn and grow, they also benefit
teachers. In PLC, colleagues visit each other’s classes to observe, and discuss the
observations. It is every teacher’s desire to improve their practices, and these
observations and discussion also build respect and trust between staff members.

The PLC will help teachers to get an opportunity to be significant decision-makers in the
school. When teachers have real say about teaching and learning, they are treated as the
true professionals that they are.

 How PLC at school benefit learners:

Educators from different schools who share the same subjects are grouped in cross-
curricular pairs so maths and science teachers come together by grade. The PLC helps
students because, it become easier to create study groups from different schools since they
share the same method of learning and lessons in different subjects; e.g. in maths, they
share the same formulas.
