New Holland tractor DNA

New Holland is the established leader in the design of speciality tractors. The revolutionary T4000 FNV Series pioneered
the development of small, safe, agile and powerful tractors purposed developed for use in the most demanding of
conditions. This heritage has been carried over to the proven T4 tractor series, with T4F, T4N and T4V meeting the
specific demands of fruit, narrow orchard and vineyard operators. Now there is a new member of the family, the T4 LP.
These new Low Profile LP tractors share the proven design of the T4 tractor series but are fitted with wider and stronger
heavy duty axles, with a front axle capacity of 2500kg. Offered with a choice of ROPS platform or full cab, T4 LP tractors
can be specified with rear tyre sizes of up to 420/70R30 and offer a rear lift capacity of 2600kg. This enables these
tractors to meet the demands for a low height but stable tractor, for use in steep orchards and vineyards with the added
security of a cab model for use in mountainous regions. Four T4 LP models, with nominal outputs spanning 75 to 105hp,
are available with a choice of transmission to suit specific end user demands. A proven heritage, excellent after sales
support and reduced whole-life operating costs all come as standard.
New Holland builds upon proud LP heritage
Between 1985 and 2001, FIAT produced its 66 LP and 86 LP
tractor models. Offering a reduced overall height and wide
axles for stability in steep terrain, these Low Profile LP models
soon became the default small tractor choice for use in more
extreme terrain. New Holland T4 LP tractors take their design
DNA from these proven FIAT models, but with modern advances
in performance, comfort, safety and economy. By offering
end users a choice of ROPS platform or full cab, New Holland
re-establishes its position as the default 75 to 105hp tractor
choice for tractors used in demanding terrain.

4 5 The range

The right model for specific demands

From the outset, New Holland developed the T4 LP tractor to meet two diverse end user demands. The first are
operators looking for a low height tractor for use in applications to include fruit production and viticulture in steep terrain.
The second are operators working in mountainous areas where a low centre of gravity, good rear lift capacity and
wide track stability are paramount. Offering good power to weight ratios, a low centre of gravity and a specification
choice to suit specific demands, T4 LP tractors make a versatile small tractor choice. With New Holland, versatility
comes as standard.

A bigger footprint for stability and traction

New Holland offers tyres to suit a broad range of applications. This includes a choice of a large, high volume
420/70R30 rear tyres to suit heavy mounted equipment and to meet the demands of working in the steepest of terrain.

extensions to accommodate the wider track widths.
Compact in size. Big on comfort
New Holland continues to invest in dedicated research into operator comfort. The Blue Cab cabin of T4 LP tractors offers great
all-round visibility, with fully glazed doors and front screen. The high comfort seat is fully adjustable and the rake adjustment of
the steering wheel can be set to suit all operators. The in-cab noise levels of just 78dBA enhance the driving experience.
High quality filters allow the Blue Cab to offer optimised operator protection from chemicals and airborne particles.

6 7 Engine, transmission and hydraulics

The advantage of being part

of a large family
New Holland T4 Series tractors have engine, transmission, hydraulics and
operating systems in common, with purpose-designed axles to meet specific
needs. The T4 LP models are wider than the other models in the T4 speciality
family but are otherwise the same. The benefit? The compact and low profile
T4 LP series is available in 78, 88, 97 and 106hp versions, with the extra
stability and a low centre of gravity demanded but with the added benefit of
a wide specification choice to meet exacting customer needs. New Holland.
The right specification, whatever your speciality.

Smooth four-cylinder power

Both the T4.75 and T4.85 are powered by four-cylinder 3.2 Litre
turbocharged engines. Offering low fuel consumption, great
refinement and a service interval of 600 hours, these engines
also meet Tier 3 emission standards. The T4.95 and T4.105
also have four-cylinder turbocharged engines but of a
different design and with a swept volume of 4.5 Litres. These
outstanding power units offer low whole life running costs, are
smooth running and can operate on 100% B100 biofuel. They
are also Tier 3 compliant and offer 600 hour service intervals.

Choose between 540, 540E

or 1000 PTO speeds
A three-speed PTO is standard, the 540E economy
speed enabling a wide range of tasks to be undertaken
at a lower engine speed. On the T4.105LP for example,
redesigned PTO ratios have resulted in a 540 PTO
speed achievable at 1958 engine rpm, this results in a
5% fuel saving over previous utility models. The PTO is
engaged via a modulated mechanical control lever with
electro hydraulic ‘push button’ system as an option.
A front PTO and linkage system can also be specified.
Park lock slope safety
The park lock system is available on
Dual-Command tractors and ensures
additional safety when parking on slopes
by mechanically locking the transmission
from a lever inside the cab.

The right ratio for every job

To meet the diverse needs of end users, New Holland
offers all T4 LP models with a choice of one of six
transmissions. Entry level 16x16 Shuttle Command™
offers working speeds as low as 700m/hr, the top
specification 44x16 DualCommand™ with powershuttle
lever,hi-lo gear splitter and creep speeds reducing
this to just 170m/hr. Maximum travel speed
is up to 40km/hr.

In-built strength
Carried over from its T4 utility cousin, the
front and rear axles on the T4 LP have
strength to accommodate the wider width,
with a new cast front axle support.
The rear axle has a capcity of 3700kg,
the rear linkages lifting 2600kg. A 1360kg
capacity front linkage is available.

Lift-O-Matic™ Plus
Available on cab versions only, the award winning
mechanical hydraulic control system allows you to raise
or lower the rear linkage when making a headland turn,
while still maintaining position and draft settings.
By pulling or pushing the lever all the way, the implement
quickly and completely raises or lowers, if the lever is
released, the implement immediately stops at the height
corresponding to the implement position. A gentle push
or pull on the lever allows for minor adjustments.

Genuine high capacity

Standard hydraulic pump output is 48.6l/min or 63.8l/min
with the optional MegaFlow™ pump. This is genuine
capacity, and does not include the output of the dedicated
power steering pump. The rear linkage capacity is a nominal
2600kg, with the option of a front linkage that will lift 1360kg.
To ease turns at the end of a row, all models are fitted with
the proven Lift-O-Matic™ ‘one touch’ rear linkage raise lower
system. As an option, all models can be specified
with electronic draft control, EDC.

Mid mount remotes

Up to four remotes, plus two push button controlled
flow dividers allow up to eight outlets to be specified.
A mid mounted valve block allows eight electro hydraulic
outlets in addition to four outlets at the rear of the tractor
and also a switch activated 33L/min hydraulic motor is
incorporated into the design. An optional multi-function
electronic joystick is available to control these functions.
