EXPLORE
Your answers tell us that these are the important realities of your life now.
These are words that give us an idea what you are concerned with or what
you are thinking about. These words are what we call nouns.
Nouns are words to name a person, thing, idea or anything that is seen
around to help people identify what they talk and think about.
1. Common noun names any one of the class of people, places, or things. This
kind of noun is not capitalized.
2. Proper noun names a specific person, place, or things. This kind of noun is
capitalized.
3. Collective noun names a group of people, objects, animals or things. When the
members of a collective noun are performing an action as individuals, use a
plural verb; the group is not acting together as a unit. When all the members
of a collective noun are performing an action as a unit, use a singular verb.
