• NGSL declares a dividend @ 10% for the Financial Year 2018-19
• NGSL added to its list of clients Hindustan Urvarak and Rasayan Limited (HURL).
NGSL has been awarded the Civil and Structural works for constructing two
substations at HURL site in Gorakhpur. The Project Cost is approximately INR 70
million.
• The promoters of NGSL, NTPC and GE Power Systems GmbH Germany have signed a binding
agreement for facilitating the entry of NGSL into the area of EPC of Flue Gas Desulphurization (FGD)
plants and Waste to Energy Plants.
• NGSL has been successful in getting the order from Odisha Coal and Power Limited
(OCPL), for construction of 33/6.6 kV 5 Bay substation works at receiving substation
at mines end along with associated Electrical, Mechanical, Civil and Miscellaneous
works. The Project Cost would be approximately INR 300 million.

Our MD, Sh. Anand Awasthy was invited to speak at “OPS-TALKS”, the annual Operations Management
Conclave held by MDI, Gurugram. As a panel member during the session on ‘Challenges inhibiting the
globalization of Indian Supply Chain’, he shared his views with the assembled students and esteemed
faculty members of MDI.
Sh. Praveen Saxena has been seconded from NTPC to NGSL as a Whole Time Director and
has joined on 13 May 2019.

Sh. Saxena is a Mechanical Engineering Graduate from NIT-Durgapur and has done PGDBM
from MDI-Gurugram. Having joined NTPC in the year 1986, he has had a rich experience in
varied areas of Power business. Over the last 32 years, he made a journey through Business
Development and worked on various aspects of the large thermal power plant’s life cycle;
i.e., from Basic and detailed Engineering, Erection and Commissioning, Operation and
Maintenance to acquisition of power assets, business evaluation & Due diligence of power
projects. Handled formation and support to Joint Venture and subsidiaries of NTPC. Has
also been MD of NTPC’s Joint Venture with Ceylon Electricity Board in Sri Lanka.

We congratulate Sh. Saxena on his promotion to the role of Executive Director at NTPC.
Here’s wishing him success for many more milestones to come .
