Describe the changes on the Earth’s surface as a result of earthquakes and volcanic

Good Morning class!

Before we start, lets bow our head for the prayer

Our Loving and generous God, we thank you for the bountiful blessings you have
given us, Thank you for giving us mind that can know and a heart that can love.
Thank you for giving us the chance to continue learning a midst the pandemic that
had caused a lot on our lives. We are sorry for the times we have failed you. We
humbly ask for your forgiveness. Father help us to focus on our studies when learning
becomes difficult. Grant us gifts of courage and enthusiasm. Grant us grace to use our
knowledge in making a difference into the lives of the people around us. All this we

So It’s our last quarter now I hope you learned something even its hard because still
we don’t have face to face. But I’m glad that you always attend during our online class

I always keep on reminding you to just stay at home, read, understand and answer
your module and avoid going out because the virus is still there. Wear your facemask
and your face shield every time you go out. Understand class?

Today we are going to discuss what is earthquake, how does earthquake occur and the
different types of earthquake

An earthquake is the shaking and trembling of Earth’s crust due to the movement of
rocks and volcanic eruptions.

Earthquakes are classified according to their origin.

a)Tectonic earthquake is caused by faulting, the breaking of rock layers.

b)Volcanic earthquake is caused by volcanic eruptions.


Three types of Earthquakes
1. Convergent Boundary
2. Divergent Boundary
3. Transform Fault Boundary
