The course is stipulated as one of the compulsory courses in Business Studies standard program in Malaysia. The course
provides a basic understanding of legal implications of business transactions as well as the statutory requirements
applicable to management and administration of business. It enables the students to develop the understanding on issues
relating to business contracts and agency which is essential in business operation.

Malaysia terutamanya berkenaan dengan pembentukan dan pelaksanaan kontrak perniagaan. Antara tajuk utama yang
dibincangkan dalam kursus ini ialah pengenalan kepada sistem perundangan di Malaysia, pembentukan dan elemen-
elemen kontrak yang sah, pelepasan tanggungjawab dalam kontrak, remedi pemecahan kontrak dan agensi. Kursus ini
akan dapat membantu pelajar untuk memahami dan mengaplikasi undang-undang perniagaan yang akan membantu
mereka di alam pekerjaan. Pelajar akan dinilai melalui tugasan, ujian bertulis, pembentangan, dan peperiksaan akhir.
This course provides the students with knowledge relating to basic principles of business law in Malaysia especially matters
regarding formation and execution of business contracts. The topics covered in this course including introduction of
Malaysian legal system, elements of a valid contract, discharge of contract, remedies for breach of contract as well as
agency. The course will help students to have appropriate knowledge and application on in business law which will
eventually help them in the workplace. Students will be assessed based on written assignment, mid-term written test,
presentation and final examination.
