2021 Princess Kay Candidate Biographies

Emeliya Dose, 18, Plainview, Wabasha County


Emeliya is a Wabasha County Dairy Princess and her parents are Paul Dose and Stephanie Hein, and
Miranda and Rob Young. As a recent Plainview Elgin Millville High School graduate, she plans to attend
Northeast Iowa Community College to major in finances. She hopes to return home after college to work
for an agriculture company. Emeliya did not grow up on a dairy farm, but quickly fell in love with the
dairy community when she began working for a farm near her hometown. Her passion for agriculture
motivated her to join FFA and participate in various contests throughout high school.

Kelsey Erf, 20, Oakdale, Washington County


Kelsey is the daughter of Dave and Kathy Erf and a Washington County Dairy Princess. Since a young
age, she has helped with daily feedings, herd health checks, breeding and preparing animals for shows on
her family’s heifer raising farm. Through 4-H, FFA and showing cattle across the county, she has built a
love for Brown Swiss cattle and the dairy community. Kelsey is majoring in dairy science and minoring
in communications at South Dakota State University. One day, she hopes to work on behalf of farmers to
build trust and dairy demand with consumers.

Anna Euerle, 19, Litchfield, Meeker County


Hailing from Meeker County, Anna is the daughter of Vaughn and Joan Euerle. She grew up on her
family’s dairy farm where they milk Holsteins. Her main responsibilities on the farm include milking
cows, feeding calves and helping in the field. In 4-H and FFA, Anna participated in dairy interviews,
dairy judging, dairy handling, and milk quality. After graduating with a degree in agribusiness with a
dairy emphasis from Ridgewater College, she hopes to work in agriculture lending or as a milk inspector
in Minnesota.
Alaina Johnson, 19, Dakota, Houston County
Alaina is the daughter of Ryan and Tracy Johnson and represents Houston County. She credits 4-H for developing her love of
agriculture. On her family’s farm, she enjoys milking cows, feeding calves and helping with any other chores that need to get done.
Alaina is a freshman at the University of Wisconsin – River Falls where she studies animal science pre-vet. She is also employed by
two dairy farms near River Falls during the school year. After graduating from the University of Wisconsin – River Falls, she hopes to
pursue a veterinarian medicine degree. Her life goals are to become a large animal veterinarian and own a herd of Jerseys.

Kelsey Kuball, 19, Waterville, Rice County


Kelsey is serving as the Rice County Dairy Princess and is the daughter of Nathan and Shannon Kuball.
She is a sophomore at the University of Northwestern – St. Paul studying biblical and theological studies.
After graduation, she plans to pursue higher education or ministry. On her family’s farm, her duties
include milking cows, cleaning barns, bedding stalls and feeding the animals. She has been showing
dairy cattle since she was a cloverbud in 4-H and participated in dairy judging and milk quality contests
in FFA.

Emily Leonard, 21, Norwood Young America, Carver County


Being a sixth-generation dairy farmer, Emily was inspired to become a Carver County Dairy Princess.
Growing up, she remembers spending hours in the barn milking cows with her dad, Tim, and doing
chores with her mom, Amy. Her family milks Holstein cows near Waconia. She helps with feeding
cattle, cleaning the barn and milking cows. She takes great pride in her involvement with dairy projects
through 4-H and FFA. Currently, Emily is a student at the University of Minnesota – Twin Cities
majoring in biology and minoring in animal science. She hopes to complete a graduate program and be
involved in dairy cattle research.

Isabelle Lindahl, 21, Lindstrom, Chisago County


At four years old, Isabelle showed her first calf at a local fair and she has loved feeding calves ever
since. Today, she enjoys milking cows and managing the facilities alongside her family. The Chisago
County native is the daughter of Kevin and Tara Lindahl and has served as a dairy princess for 15 years.
Isabelle will be a senior at the University of Minnesota – Twin Cities studying agricultural and food
business management and animal science with a minor in finance. After college, she plans to start a career through the Farm Credit
System to help agriculturalists secure funds to maintain the financial viability of their operations. She hopes to earn her master’s
degree to become a dairy specialist.

Megan Meyer, 18, Rollingstone, Winona County


Winona County Dairy Princess, Megan, is the daughter of John and Connie Meyer. As a recent graduate
of Lewiston-Altura High School, her plan is to attend the University of Minnesota to major in political
science this fall. On her family’s third generation dairy farm, feeding and milking cows, running the
manure pump tractor and preparing cattle for shows have become some of her favorite chores. She has
been active in FFA throughout high school and 4-H since sixth grade. Her biggest passion is judging
dairy cattle and hopes to join the dairy judging team in college. She hopes to become a civil rights or
social justice lawyer later in life.

Jessica Ohmann, 20, Albany, Stearns County


Jessica and her sisters were given the opportunity to lease Ayrshires from a local dairy farm through the
4-H program. She enjoys milking cows and doing other chores on the farm. The Stearns County Dairy
Ambassador is the daughter of Ron and Ami Ohmann. Besides 4-H, she was very involved in FFA,
dairy knowledge bowl, and dairy judging that allowed her to gain more knowledge about the dairy
community. After graduating with degrees in accounting and finance from the University of St. Thomas,
Jessica hopes to find a position where she can combine her passions for dairy and accounting.

Katrina Thoe, 22, Hayfield, Dodge County


As a nursing student at Winona State University, Katrina plans on using her career and experience as a
dairy farmer to help build trust in dairy. On her family’s sixth generation dairy farm, she is responsible
for milking cows, feeding youngstock, cleaning equipment and doing field work. Her parents, Jeffrey
and Susie Thoe, have taught her the importance of caring for the land and livestock. Katrina has enjoyed
making various appearances as the Dodge County Dairy Princess such as handing out dairy products at
grocery stores and events, presenting to students and participating in parades. She decided to share the
story of dairy during the pandemic by creating TikToks about daily chores on the farm and the safety of
dairy products.
