• Intake/Extended Assessment
o Provides behavioral assessment for individuals between the ages of 2 to 21. A
clinician will meet with the child and family first to obtain the behavioral
information and to assess what the strengths and needs are. After this the
psychologist will determine the next steps.

• Behavioral Health Rehabilitation services (wraparound)
o This service is to support children up to the age of 21 who need help with
their social, emotional and behavior skills.

• Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) Services
o This service helps individuals improve problem behaviors and encourages
behaviors that will help the individuals have a better quality of life

o Behavior support for adults (18 and older)
• Therapeutic After School Program
o For children from the ages of 5-14 with an autism diagnosis. Clinical staff
work with children on their social and behavioral skills and goals in a
recreational setting
• Summer Therapeutic Actives Program
o For children with autism that fall between the ages of 5-14. Includes art,
music, movement, and horticulture therapy
• Transition Age Youth
o This is for individuals with autism between the ages of 15-18 to help develop
their strengths for the transition into young adulthood. This program
discusses topics including pre-vocational skills, dating, relationships, bullying,
safe use of social media, wellness and more. Participants will participate in
community enrichment activities such as volunteerism, socialization with a
network of peers, exercise, cooking and more.
Eligibility: Individual must have a diagnosis and extended assessment first. Depending on
where individual lives they may need to go to the Clinic to receive services.

• Functional Behavior Assessment (FBA) and Functional Analysis (FA)
• Behavior Analyst (BCBA) consultation and program supervision for Applied Behavior
• Classroom-based consultation
• Assist with the setup of ABA Verbal-Behavior (VB) Classrooms for school districts
Eligibility: Serves Montgomery County. If the child has Medicaid they will need to be
referred by their county catchment unit (see page 20). Patients cannot be self-referred
unless they have private insurance.

o This program is for school aged individuals with an autism diagnosis

• APS Education Programs
o These are Devereux’s four approved private schools
o These schools also serve school aged individuals with autism

Behavior Health Rehabilitation Services/Wraparound
This service helps individuals grow both emotionally and behaviorally in

o This program is for individuals who are 21 years old and up (although this may
vary) who are beginning their transition into adulthood

o Provide individuals with in-home care, helps them to set goals and to
learn basic day to day skills

Case Management
Eligibility: Individual must have a diagnosis of autism and must be enrolled in Medicaid,
their adaptive assessment must state that the individual is limited in 3 areas of adaptive
functioning, there must be evidence of the onset of autism before the individual is 22, and
a medical evaluation completed by physician must recommend Intermediate Care Facilities.

This service evaluates a child in his or her own environment (school, home, and community)
and helps providers understand the child’s needs and greatest areas of concern to direct
them to the level of care that is deemed necessary for each individual.

Respite Care is temporary care provided for individuals with intellectual disabilities. This
can be planned care or emergency care. Services can be used for both children and adults.
In-home respite could be for 4-5 hours a month, where family can leave the house while the
child remains with a trained caregiver. Out-of-home respite is generally once a month for a
single day, an overnight, or a weekend with trained host families.

MusicWorks provides music therapy services to restore, improve and maintain the quality of life of all
individuals throughout the Delaware Valley who are challenged by autism, special needs, illness or
aging. A board-certified music therapist completes an initial assessment measuring the physical,
behavioral, psychological, cognitive, linguistic, and musical abilities of a client. A music therapy
session uses sing-along songs, percussion exercises, client-friendly instruments, pre-recorded and live
music, movement, dance, and other musical media to afford the client an enjoyable environment for
self-expression. Music therapy can be conducted through one-on-one sessions or in a group format.

Scholarships are available
Occupational therapy, physical therapy, and speech-language pathology professionals use the horse’s
movement to achieve therapy treatment goals for children and adults with neuromotor, cognitive,
and sensory dysfunction. Hippotherapy can help improve coordination and timing, respiratory
control, sensory integration skills, and attention skills.

Activities will help children work on skills like taking turns, sharing, holding conversations,
