    FortiClient and FortiClient EMS Upgrade Paths

    The following chart provides upgrade path information for FortiClient for Windows and
    macOS 5.2.0 and later versions to 6.2.1. If upgrading FortiClient 5.6.2 and earlier versions
    via FortiClient EMS fails, it is recommended to uninstall FortiClient, then deploy the latest
    version of FortiClient from FortiClient EMS.

    In 6.0.0 and later versions, FortiClient EMS and FortiClient EMS for Chromebooks are merged
    into a single application. The tables below indicate that it is possible to upgrade FortiClient EMS
    for Chromebooks 1.2.4+ to the merged version of FortiClient EMS 6.2.1.
