Business Manager’s Report

Thank you for your calls and comments. Based on the feedback
we've received, it looks like the IBEW 332 Newsletter is a hit!

The work picture at Local 332 has been slow, however, forecasts
for the not too distant future are very good. Coming up is the Pico
Power Plant in Milpitas and a number of projects downtown where
we have been successful through Project Labor Agreements (PLA's)
in getting the work to go 100% Union. We are also looking at 12
million dollars of electrical work at the new San Jose City Hall as well as millions of
Newsletter

dollars of electrical work at the San Jose Airport, where through the passage of Measure
A we expect to see this work started this summer.

As for Measure A, I would like to express my sincere appreciation to the members who
volunteered their time and helped to "Get Out the Vote" by phone banking other Local 332
members in the evening on February 23, 2003 and encouraging them to Vote yes on
Measure A. It was through their hard work and that of many others that we were successful
in passing this Measure, which will provide so many much needed jobs.

A Special Thanks goes out to Paul Shaimas, PAC Committee Chairperson. Brother
Shaimas volunteers many hours on behalf of Local 332 and it's Political Action Committee.
Paul is the person responsible for organizing the Phone Bank and getting volunteers for the
many other projects that the PAC Committee gets involved in.

Everything seems to be going well

a month or so for the apprentices to

but once that took place, the changes
seemed to have created more involvement

notice that there are ongoing Saturday

important to know what is in the code

The Sound & Communications JATC has seen a dramatic growth in the last five years. The Telecommunications
Industry is in part the main reason for this growth. Due to the ease in transmitting Digital information
using a standardized Cabling infrastructure that will last over twenty years of use, corporations
