ENGINE IGNITION POWER SUPPLY
n Engine ignition power supply furnishes DC power to electronic ignition diesels, so
that the engines can be fired normally.
n The battery is the back power supply. When normally power supply is fault or start
the first engine, engine ignition power will be supplied by battery.
n Engine ignition power supply contain the following:

GENERATOR SYNCHRONIZING SYSTEM
n The Generator Synchronization (Sync) Circuit is required to connect additional
generators to the Main AC bus, after one (1) or more generators are already
connected to the Main AC Bus.
n The Sync Circuit compares the frequency, phase and voltage of the Main AC Bus
with that of the generator being brought on line, so that they can be matched before
the new generator’s circuit breaker is closed.
n The Generator Synchronizing Circuit are included in each generator control unit.
GROUND FAULT DETECTION SYSTEM
n The Ground Fault System is designed to detect both AC ground faults via a set of
wire connected grounding resisters.

POWER LIMIT SYSTEM
n The Power Limit System is made up of PM130 digital powermeters and PLC , the
PM130 will monitor the kW engine loading and the kVA generator loading of each
engine/generator set and then transfer the desired parameters to PLC system via
PROFIBUS field bus.
n If any of these parameters reach their limitations, the PLC will reduce the power
being delivered to the loads so that the load on each generator is held at its limit
until the loads on the variable-frequency drives are reduced (by other action) to a
level below the generator limit.

SURGE SUPPRESION SYSTEM
n Surge Suppression System used to clamp any transient high voltage spikes , which
would be damaging to the converter devices.
n The Surge Suppression System will consist of a set of fused metal oxide varistors
(MOVs) and will include a “Surge Suppressor ON” lamp.
OUTPUT FILTER
n Output du/dt filter used to suppresses inverter output voltage spikes and rapid
voltage changes that stress motor insulation. Additionally ,du/dt filtering reduce
capacitive leakage currents and high frequency emission of the motor cable as well
as high frequency losses and bearing currents in the motor.

PROFIBUS Communication System
n PROFIBUS communication system adopts digital communication technology.
n The drillers’ console, automatic drilling system, intelligent traveling block anticollision
protection system, integrative drilling Instrumentation system, variable-speed drives
system and engine-generator control system ,industrial PC and HMI, are combined
by PROFIBUS communication system.
n The relation data will be transferred each other by PROFIBUS communication
system according to the technical requirements.
n It also can display the related data and states in the HMI
n PROFIBUS communication system includes all necessary PROFIBUS-DP
communication card, communication module and program.
INDUSTRIAL PC
n Two sets of Industrial PC are used in this system, one in VFD house , one in
supervisor’s room.
n Industrial PC collected all necessary data from PLC, display the necessary data and
graphic state and diagnostic in the screen.
n All the necessary data will be stored in the harddisk of IPC. If the harddisk is full, the
oldest data will be deleted automatically, new data will be stored. The necessary
repots will be created automatically.
n IPC will display the following information:

Ø Access of all AC drive in the network

Ø Diagnostic of faulty component of each ac drive and warning

Crown-O-Matic
n A two-position-three-way push over valve is mounted above the main drum, and the
position of valve bar is pre-set.
n When the traveling block is lifting too close to crown block, the drill line rolled on

clutch, and make the hydraulic disc brake working to stop the drawworks.

Traveling Block Position Control (Crown & Floor Saver System):

One (1) remote control panel include the following major components unitized and

District equipment

Junction cavity is explosion-proof style, there are main loop and subsidiary loop.
Outside of cavity is mounted loop cables unit, the main cavity has wicks which is
mounted gas breaker, AC contactor, relay or motor protector, The covering is
mounted voltage table and handle of main breaker.
Ø Junction box covering is welded with steel plates. Covering bottom has unit for

Ø 2 sets 400w explosion-proof metal halide lamps are mounted on the two dog
houses of drilling floor for ramp and pumping set field, and 2 sets 40w
double-pipe explosion-proof lamps are mounted for drilling floor district.
Ø One set 450W explosion-proof lamp is mounted respectively on the tow sides of
oil derrick for well head and drilling floor.
Ø One set 200w explosion-proof red obstruction light is mounted for warming.
Ø We use explosion-proof junction box and steel pipes for derrick and the
explosion-proof junction box is fixed. The connection of lamps and each section
derrick use connector assembly. Derrick illumination is introduced and controlled
from two sides of derrick. There are 22 sets 40w double-pipe explosion-proof
lamps (including the number of lamps). Amount of them, 2 sets 40w double-pipe
explosion-proof lamps are mounted on the derrick distance 3 m about form
drilling floor. One set 40w double-pipe explosion-proof lamps lash-up is mounted
on the monkey board . It should be consider the reliability of falling-proof unit
when installing lamps. At the same time the power of centralizer electric block
is mounted on the right of derrick. We use explosion-proof junction box and steel
pipes for derrick, the connection of lamps and each section derrick use

Ø The other area illuminate of well site adopt 4 sets of non-explosion proof metal
halide flood light and fit out elevated and folded lamppole.
n Laying for cable
Ø Between tank and VFD/MCC house, between tank and tank all adopt heavy
rubber sleeve soft cable connection through fast splicing part, cable section
match with load and put apart proper allowance, cable between tank and
VFD/MCC house and other cable is protected by cable slot.
Ø Cable of going to drill floor lay down folded cable bridge.
Ø Cable of oil tank area, well control area and house used for well site lay down
ground oil-gas row of tubes.
Ø Main cable of tank body is protected and fixed by cable slot, cable slot is fixed on
external surface of solid control tank.
Ø Power lead, control lead and illuminate lead of agitator adopt concealed wiring
for steel pipe and explosion proof flexibility hosepipe.
Ø To require to move electrical equipments (for example: shaker, desander,
desilter, vaccum degasser, centrifuge etc.) in each area when pulling stakes,
which be connected through fast splicing part through turning section box.
Ø Cable in cable slot is fixed by cable clip firmly.
