Two frogs had lived in a village all their lives. They thought they would like to go and
see the big city that was about ten miles away. They talked about it for a long time and at last
they set off to the city.
It was a hot day, and they soon began to feel tired. They had only gone a little way when

A nightmare trip, I remember was three years ago when I was going to the airport with
my friend. We were going to Hawaii on vacation and we had to be at Los Angeles airport two
hours before the flight. We left home with plenty of time, but when we got to the freeway, there
was a huge traffic jam! The traffic wasn’t moving at all. We didn’t know what to do. It was too
late to go another way, so we just sat in the car getting more and more stressed.
After ten minutes, the traffic started moving slowly. We decided to leave the freeway and
try to find another way to the airport. Unfortunately, I wasn’t sure of the way and we got
completely lost. We was sure that we were going to miss the flight. Finally, we arrived at the

counter said that we couldn’t check in our luggage because it was too late, so we had to run with
all our suitcases to the departure gate. Although my friend felt down and hurt her leg, we
managed to get to the gate in time and finally we caught our flight.

Keeping Fit
Most people want to keep their weight down. In Britain and USA, doctors are worried
that a lot of teenagers are overweight. They often eat unhealthy food and spend a lot of time
sitting in front of the television or computer.
Here’s some advice:
a. Have some vegetables or fruits in every meal. Tomatoes are great.
b. Eat five small meals a day, instead of two or three large meals.
c. It’s a good idea to eat snacks but don’t eat a lot of sugar. Have some bread, an apple,
some grapes, or a carrot.
d. Don’t eat fried food very often. Have some rice or some pasta instead. Drink a lot of
water. If you want a sweet drink, have some fruit juice.
e. Do some exercise every day. Exercise burns off calories and makes you fit. So come
on, get up and ride your bike, swim, run or go for walk.
f. Finally, remember that there’s no need to be skinny. Enjoy your food and have fun
with what you are exercising.

Recent Development at the Post Office


            Post offices in industrial countries have a policy to provide their customers with a better
service. One of their better services is the handling of mail. Government also takes part to
increase the function of post offices. Now, the postage rates have risen. Private firms are not
normally allowed to handle ordinary mail, although some private carriers have been increasingly
in circulating catalogues, magazines, and merchandise samples. Private parcel carriers also
compete with the post office. 
           The growth of electronic postal services has been a major development. In developing
countries, the postal services are being extended to rural areas, and modernized into new
technological developments. Many small nations earn valuable income from the stamp
collectors. However, delivery of letters remains the main job of post officers and postal workers
around the world.

My Uncle
        My Uncle Martin is my mother’s elder brother. He is my favourite among my mother’s
brothers. He is a very interesting man. He lives quite near us with my Aunt Angela and my
cousins Anne and Bob. I often go to his house. 
        He is about 45 with grey hair. He is still quite good-looking. He is tall and well-built. He

        Once upon a time, there were a king and his queen who lived in the Kingdom of Belinyu.
They didn’t have any child. Until one night, the queen had a dream of a turtle. It said that the
queen would have a baby, and she had to give a Komala necklace to her baby. The queen woke
up and she was holding a Komala necklace in her hand. She told her dream to the king, and he
was very happy.
        Shortly, the queen’s dream became reality. She delivered a beautiful baby girl. The king
named her, Komala. She grew up as a pretty girl. However, she had a bad attitude because her
parents always spoiled her too much.
        One day, Komala heard her parents were talking about the turtle in her mother’s dream. She
thought that the turtle was very interesting animal, so she wanted it as her pet. She insisted to
find it, and the king allowed her to look for the animal.
        Accompanied with the king’s guards, Komala searched the turtle, and finally, she found it
in a beach. She shouted to it, “Penyu busuk, wait for me,” in several times, but the turtle kept
swimming. Komala ran after it into the sea, she tried to catch it. Until then she finally drowned
and disappeared, and all of her guards could not save her. Now, people call the beach, Penyusuk.

One day I went to Bandung with my friend for a vocation. We went there on bus. When
5we arrived in Cianjur, the bus stopped for a rest. I got off the bus to get a cup of coffee, but my
friend didn’t. Then I went to a mosque to pray. It took only few minutes to pray, but when I
came out again the bus was not there. It had gone! Shocked and confused. I asked the shopkeeper
about the bus. She said that the bus had departed about five minutes ago.
I tried to call my friend on my cell phone, but the battery was running low. I couldn’t do
anything but hope and pray. After several minutes, my wish came true. The bus came back! I got

In one village of North Sumatera, there lived a poor farmer named Toba. One day, he
went fishing. Luckily, he got a beautiful goldfish. He carried it home then planned to cook it.

abroad. This makes they’re so busy because they must manage their schedule to fulfill offers and
orders to perform live on stage.
Sabyan Gambus, with Nissa as the main vocalist is becoming more popular. She is still
humble and simple although she becomes new popular singer. One of the reason people like her
is because she is not arrogant and welcomes to other people.
