use this module. You also need to keep track of the learners' progress
while allowing them to manage their own learning at home.
Furthermore, you are expected to encourage and assist the learners as
they do the tasks included in the module.

As a learner, you must learn to become responsible of your own
learning. Take time to read, understand, and perform the different
activities in the module.
As you go through the different activities of this module be
reminded of the following:

Let Us Learn
This module was designed and written with you in mind. It is here to
help you understand concepts on Empowerment Technologies. The scope of
this module permits it to be used in many different learning situations. The
language used recognizes the diverse vocabulary level of students. The lessons
are arranged to follow the standard sequence of the course. But the order in
which you read them can be changed to correspond with the textbook you are
now using.

Learning Competency:
A. Identify a local or regional cause or issue for social change related to
specific professional tracks that can be addressed or tackled using ICT
Project for Social Change (CS_ICT11/12-ICITPT-IIm-p16); and
B. Analyze how target or intended users and audiences are expected to
respond to the proposed ICT Project for Social Change on the basis of
content, value, and user experience. (CS_ICT11/12-ICITPT-IIm-p17)

After going through this module, you are expected to:


A. plan and conceptualize an ICT Project for social change;
B. identify the platforms that will help in the success of a campaign; and
C. develop and construct ICT project for social change.

A. Directions: Our lives have been impacted by technology in so many


ways. These affect how we carry on our daily lives whether technologies aid
us or make our lives convenient. List at least 5 examples on how ICT affected
your life as part of a society.

B. Directions. From the previous lesson, you have learned about


different platforms and applications which are easily accessed and utilized for
promotion and advertisement. These platforms have even become useful in
engaging on campaigns to your community. At this point, you are now
equipped with understanding on putting your campaigns in action.

Before you can jump start your campaign, you must create a “plan”
which is called a “concept paper”. Answer the questions below to check how

I. Rationale:
The Department of Education envisions learners who are
potentially good in their communication skills. This is realized
through immersing the students in series of speaking experiences
in classrooms and other actual situations.
The Senior High School K to 12 Curriculum is designed to
sharpen the speaking skills of the students. Thus, Oral
Communication in Context prepares the students to become
effective speakers in their respective disciplines. As a way of
celebrating the best speech performances of the students, a
speech festival is proposed.

II. Objectives:
The following are the objectives:
A. To exhibit students’ best speech performances;
B. To boost students’ skills in presenting themselves through
speaking activities; and
C. To foster a professional and collaborative spirit among
Senior High School learners and teachers.

III. Strategy / Methodology:


The Speech Festival 2021 is delivered through inter-class
competition among Grade 11 learners. The activity shall present
the following competitions: Extemporaneous Speaking,
Newscasting, Storytelling, Poetry Interpretation, Choral Reading,
Speech Choir, and Rap Discussion.

IV. Assumptions:
The expenses in the activity shall be taken from the
Student Fund for the First Semester, SY 2020-2021.
