Aflux® Processing Promoters


42

Function
Processing promoter for compounds based on natural and synthetic rubbers, especially, e.g. NR, SBR, NBR,
CR, and EPDM

Product description

Composition: water-free blend of fatty acids, fatty alcohols,


and fatty acid esters

Appearance: white, beige to yellow, brown pastilles

Density, 20 °C: approx. 0,90 g/cm3

Melting point 90 - 100 °C

Discoloration of vulcanizates: none

Use

Mode of action: Aflux 42 acts as an excellent dispersing agent for fillers and rubber chemicals.
It increases the plasticity of uncured compounds and improves the flow
properties. The output and the rate of extrusion of profiles are increased. Aflux
42 imparts smooth surfaces to extrudates and calendered foils. The
vulcanizate properties are practically not affected by Aflux 42.

Processing: Aflux 42 can be incorporated both in the internal mixer or on the mill. It is
recommended to add Aflux 42 together with the fillers.

Dosage: 2-5 phr, in NBR 2-4 phr

Application: For technical molded and injected articles of all types, footwear. For
continuous vulcanization processes (LCM, UHF) and injection molding.

Packaging
20 kg paper bag on 1000 kg skid. Storage temperature should not exceed 27 °C since Aflux 42 tends to stick at
higher ambient temperatures.

Storage stability
In original closed containers under cool and dry conditions 1095 days from date of production
