Release mechanism: the boat is normally secured to the sliding ramp by a special
holding device. The release mechanism of the boat is
activated by a handhydraulic pump operated by the
helmsman from within the boat. Besides the boat can be
released by a secondary emergency hydraulic pump

Seats: specially moulded and padded seats with adjustable safety-


belts are provided for each person

Hatches: one embarkation hatch aft and one hatch forward to be opened
from inside and outside

Hoisting: for recovery and launching by falls the boat is provided with
slings and lifting eyes on the canopy. The slings are specially
secured during freefall-launching

Fittings: at the sides of the boat a PE-fenderlist is provided to avoid


damage to the boat during retrieval operation. All outside
fittings are made of seawater-resistant materials and fastened
with stainless steel bolts. Buoyant lifelines are becketed around
the outside of the boat. Retro reflective tapes are provided on the
canopy.

Inventory: inventory for lifeboats acc. to LSA-code Chapter IV, Reg. 4.4
will be provided according to enclosed list.

Spare parts: spare parts will be provided according to enclosed list

Signs/Labels: for all handling functions and emergency operation plastic foil
signs/labels are provided. The ships name and call sign can be
fastened to yards request if submitted 2 weeks prior shipment.

On each new ship freefalllaunching drills have to be carried out as function test under
supervision of national authority or classification society.

Until further notice alllifeboats for German flagged vessels will be supplied with a registration
plate of See-BG marked with the register no. and number of persons.

SLIDING RAMP / HYDRAULIC DAVIT SYSTEM

This system will allow: - freefall-launch of the boat


- controlled launch of the boat by means of hydraulic winch
- recovery of boat with crew of 4 persons and a speed of 5
m/min

The system will be supplied in following parts:


- 1 launching ramp for boat with polyamide rollers on
stainless steel shafts, release hook and lashing hook
- 1 A-frame davit with sheaves
- 2 supports for A-frame davit to be mounted by screw
connection
- 2 hydraulic pistons with hoses
- 1 set of non rotating galvanized steel wire falls with counter
weight, chains and hooks
- 1 hydraulic boat winch for a speed of 5 m/min with winch
foundation
- 1 ON-deck electro hydraulic aggregate with tank, electric
motor and electric starter box (IP56) and control valve
station
- 1 set of boat lashing wires
