Buoyancy: the spaces between the outer hull and the inner section are
buoyancy tanks and filled with polyurethane foam.
Fuel system: 120 ltr fuel-tank with filling connection and shut-off valve
Control: cable remote control for engine gas and gearbox for control
from steering position.
Release mechanism: the boat is normally secured to the sliding ramp by a special
holding device. The release mechanism of the boat is
activated by a handhydraulic pump operated by the
helmsman from within the boat. Besides the boat can be
released by a secondary emergency hydraulic pump
Hatches: one embarkation hatch aft and one hatch forward to be opened
from inside and outside
Hoisting: for recovery and launching by falls the boat is provided with
slings and lifting eyes on the canopy. The slings are specially
secured during freefall-launching
Inventory: inventory for lifeboats acc. to LSA-code Chapter IV, Reg. 4.4
will be provided according to enclosed list.
Signs/Labels: for all handling functions and emergency operation plastic foil
signs/labels are provided. The ships name and call sign can be

This type approval will be on Iy valid in connection with a certified quality system according to
module D of the directive 96/98/EC as amended.
Within the sGope of this quality system a final test for eaGh lifeboat aGGording to Resolution
MSC.81 (70) part 2 have to be Garried out. These test must be doGumented by the manufaGturer.
On each new ship freefalllaunching drills have to be carried out as function test under
supervision of national authority or classification society.
Until further notice alllifeboats for German flagged vessels will be supplied with a registration
plate of See-BG marked with the register no. and number of persons.
