Suitable extinguishing media : water, water spray, foam, carbon dioxide (CO 2), dry
powder.
Special fire-fighting precautions : Spills product extremely slippery surfaces.
Special protective equipment for firefighters : No special protective equipment required.

Section 6 : Accidental Release Measures

Personal precautions : Avoid dust formation. Use personal protective equipment. (Dust mask)
Environmental precautions : Do not contaminate water.
Methods for cleaning up : Product becomes slippery and difficult to handle when wet; spills are
best handled while still dry. Sweep up and collect dry product. Absorb
wet product with vermiculite or other inert material. Then water wash
area to waste treatment to eliminate slip hazard.

Section 7 : Handling and Storage

Handling : Avoid contact with eyes, .skin and clothing. When preparing the working solution ensure
there is adequate-ventilation. When using do not smoke.
Storage : Avoid extremes of temperature; Wet, damp and humid conditions. Keep in a dry, cool
place. Keep away heat and sources of ignition. Freezing will affect the physical condition
and may damage the material.

Section 8 : Exposure Controls/Personal Protection

Engineering controls : General ventilation is recommended. Eyewash and safety shower stations
are recommended.
Personal protection equipment
-Respiratory protection : Respiratory protection is not normally needed since volatility and toxicity
are low. If significant dusting occurs, use NIOSH approved respirator
(ANSIZ882.1980) or equivalent.
-Hand protection : Rubber gloves.
-Eye protection : Safety glasses with side-shields. Do not wear contact lenses.
-Skin protection : Chemical resistant apron or protective suit if splashing or repeated contact
with solution is likely.

chloride. Vapor may be irritating or harmful.

Section 11 : Toxicology Information

Acute toxicity
-Not listed as a carcinogen by IARC, NTP, OSHA or ACGIN.
-Oral : LDSO Ioral/rat > 5000mg/kg
-Dermal : The result of testing on rabbits showed this material to
be non-toxic even at high dose levels.
-Inhalation : the product is not expected to be toxic by inhalation.
Irritancy and corrosiveness : May be slightly irritating to skin and eyes on
prolonged exposure. No evidence of corrosiveness
Subacute, Subchronic and prolonged toxicity : No information available.
Empirical data on effects on humans : Considered non-toxic in normal use.

Section 12 : Ecological Information

Aquatic toxicity (Effect on watercourses):

From tests on a product range, toxicity to fish (96hr LC5O) when tested in pure water,< 10ppm. When
tested in water with more than 10 ppm total dissolved organic carbon, aquatic LC5O is increased by
about 100 fold. Acute effects on aquatic organisms are entirely due to the cationic charge of the
polymer, which is completely neutralized in natural water courses by irreversible adsorption onto
particles, hydrolysis and dissolved organic carbon.

Biogradability : This products are biodegradable, but their rate of degradation is relatively slow.

Section 13 : Disposal Considerations

Disposal method : Recycle if possible. if not, absorb spilled material on Inert absorbent and dispose
of solidified material accordance with federal, state, local or other applicable laws
