Introduction
“Our struggles in ministry (discipleship) could mean a slow growth or

progress.” Madalas nakakainis, nakakatamad at nakaka-discouraged.
Same thing in our lives, kapag may mga struggles, nakakainis, at

nakakasawa. Kasi nga, struggle na naman.
Matthew 14:25-33
25 During the fourth watch of the night Jesus went out to them, walking
on the lake.
26 When the disciples saw him walking on the lake, they were terrified.
"It's a ghost," they said, and cried out in fear.
27 But Jesus immediately said to them: "Take courage! It is I. Don't be
afraid."
28 "Lord, if it's you," Peter replied, "tell me to come to you on the water."
29 "Come," he said.Then Peter got down out of the boat, walked on the
water and came toward Jesus.
30 But when he saw the wind, he was afraid and, beginning to sink,
cried out, "Lord, save me!"
31 Immediately Jesus reached out his hand and caught him. "You of
little faith," he said, "why did you doubt?"
32 And when they climbed into the boat, the wind died down.
33 Then those who were in the boat worshiped him, saying, "Truly you
are the Son of God." NIV
How to DEAL with the STRUGGLES OF DISCIPLESHIP?
1. Check your MOTIVATION

25 During the fourth watch of the night Jesus went out to them, walking
on the lake. 26 When the disciples saw him walking on the lake, they were
terrified. "It's a ghost," they said, and cried out in fear.27 But Jesus immediately
said to them: "Take courage! It is I. Don't be afraid."

 Sa paglilingkod natin o sa buhay natin, ang daming mga bagay ang
kinatatakutan natin na hindi naman talaga dapat ikatakot.
 Noong kumikilos si Lord nang hindi pang-karaniwan ay bigla silang
natakot.
 Sanay sila na bangka ang means of transportation sa tubig, kaya nang
makita nila si Jesus na naglalakad sa tubig ay bigla silang natakot.
“Walking on water” speaks about “unusual act.”
 Sometimes God moves in mysterious ways but we respond in anxious

ways.
 Minsan mukhang problema sa paningin natin ngunit sagot pala ng Diyos
sa atin - sa ikabubuti at iakaaayos natin.
“Struggles starts when fear sparks.”
 Ang takot ang pwedeng mag-pahinto sa’yo.

 Ang dami kasi nating takot - sa ministry mo, sa discipleship at sa
pangarap mo.
 Matagumpay na sana kaso ang tindi ng takot!

Pero sa panahon na natatakot ka ano ang dapat mong gawin?
27 But Jesus immediately said to them: "Take courage! It is I. Don't be afraid."
You may be walking in darkness and wondering where Jesus is.

You may be facing some of the darkest days of your life or ministry
right now.
Let me remind you that our God is ever with you,
Let me remind you that even in the darkest hours of life God is still
God and He is still in control of your life.
Even the darkest hours of life cannot hide you from the face of
God.
He is there even when you cannot see Him.
There are times when we all feel like we have lost the battle with
our storm, but may I remind you that just as surely as the Lord is
in control of your blessings, He is also in charge of your storms
When things look like hopeless, just look around, Jesus is about to
show up! Remember, He may not keep you from going into the
storm, but He will keep you in the midst of the storm!
Your right motivation will lead you to deal with your struggles.
 Huwag kang matakot dahil si Jesus ang kasama mo!
 Kaya dapat si Jesus talaga ang tamang maging motivation mo.
 Nagsisimula ang problema kapag hindi na si Jesus ang motivation mo.
 Gawin mo s’yang inspiration dahil wala syang expiration.
 Magdisciple ka para kay Jesus kasi Siya rin ang nag-utos.
 Si Jesus ang gumagawa ng himala.

2. Check your MOTION
28 "Lord, if it's you," Peter replied, "tell me to come to you on the water."
29 "Come," he said. Then Peter got down out of the boat, walked on the water
and came toward Jesus.

 Ang tindi ng struggle kasi alam na nating para kay Jesus ito.
 Hindi naman tayo gumagalaw. Wala naman tayong ginagawa. Wala
naman tayong sinisimulan.
 Nang nalaman ni Pedro na si Jesus pa ‘yon bigla niyang sinabi, "Lord, if

it's you tell me to come to you on the water." Then Jesus said, “come”.
 Kung gusto mong mabago ang buhay mo, ang ministry mo, huwag kang
matakot gumalaw, umusad ka. Yes mahirap, pero ‘yan ang babago sa
buhay mo.
 Kung gusto mong madeal ang struggles mo.. lampasan mo.. hakbangan
mo. Wag kang magpapapigil. Nagkakaroon ng struggle.. hindi para
pigilan kundi para turuan ka.
“Walking on water” speaks about making impossible possible. It

speaks about doing what others could not do. It speaks about experiencing
your dream.”
Therefore, “If you want to walk on water, you’ve got to get out of the
boat.” Get out of your comfort zone. Get out of the ordinary and usual.
 Galawan mo.. umusad ka.

 I-deal mo ‘yong problema ‘wag sa paraan na kaya mo, sa paraan ng
Diyos sa buhay mo.
 ‘Wag puro salita.. galawan mo rin.
 ‘Wag puro yabang, trabahuhin mo.
3. Check your MATURATION

30 But when he saw the wind, he was afraid and, beginning to sink, cried out,
"Lord, save me!"
31 Immediately Jesus reached out his hand and caught him. "You of little faith,"
he said, "why did you doubt?"
32 And when they climbed into the boat, the wind died down. 33 Then those
who were in the boat worshiped him, saying, "Truly you are the Son of God." NIV
 Minsan ang struggles din ay test kung nasaan na ba tayo

 Baka yumayabang na tayo
 Baka nakakalimutan na nating hindi kalang dapat disciple maker dapat
disciple ka rin.
The Lord Jesus mended Peter through his struggles
RESCUE - Vss. 31, 32 - Jesus got him out of danger.

Real talk: lahat ng magaling, sumasablay din!
30 But when he saw the wind, he was afraid and, beginning to sink, cried out,
"Lord, save me!"
 Even great men sink! Kaya huwag kang mahiyang tumawag at humingi
ng tulong kapag lumulubog ka na. All people have a “sinking
experience.” Don’t be ashamed to ask for help.
 Expert si Lord sa pag salo at pag sagip... balik na kay Jesus, kapit na
kay Jesus.
REBUKE - Vs. 31 - Peter was reprimanded for his doubt.
31 Immediately Jesus reached out his hand and caught him. "You of little faith,"
he said, "why did you doubt?"
Dahilan ng pag-lubog:
(1) focus sa “wind” (problema, threat, etc),
(2) out of focus kay Jesus.
Pero Don’t worry, expertise ni JESUS ang sumagip ng mga “nalubog at

nalulunod.”
Therefore
Let’s check our:
Motivation
Motion
Maturation
Tandaan mo:
Nakakapag-pahinto ng pag-gewang mo ang pagbangon mo. Kapatid
bumangon ka. Ang pagbangon mo ay makakapagbigay kaluwalhatian kay
Lord. Kaya game na ulit!
