RECOMMENDATIONS

This chapter consists of conclusions and recommendations of the survey conducted on


primary data (100 respondents) on the topic – Customer perception about branded and non-
branded garments. The conclusions and recommendations are as follows:

4.1 CONCLUSIONS:
Conclusion is a judgment or decision reached by reasoning or facts. A conclusion is given
after a report or project or thesis to comment about the
whole work in short. It is more like a summary of the
project mixed with a little bit of introduction.
This project is based on primary data of 100
respondents and their preference about branded and
non-branded garments. In this project after examining
the data and information carefully, the conclusion has
been drawn on the basis of the given objectives:
1. To understand the behaviour and awareness of consumer regarding branded and
non-branded garments.

 Meaning of Brand for the Customers – The meaning of Brand is defined in terms of
best quality for almost all the customers and also they thinks that quality is the most
important factor while purchasing the branded garments.
 Observation about customer’s preferred garments - It is observed that both male and

female customers generally prefer to buy more non-branded garments rather than
branded garments.

2. To study on the impact of family size, income, choice & preferences of individual,
price of the branded and non-branded garments on the buying decision of the
consumer.

 Preference of customers – 46% customers prefers branded garments and 54%

customers prefer non-branded garments.
 Timing and Place of purchase of garments - Customers prefer to purchase their
desired branded garments before any festivals mostly from the malls and non-branded
garments before special offers mostly from the street shops.

3. To determine the level of satisfaction and the factors influencing the consumer
towards branded and non-branded garments.

 Satisfaction level of the customers - Almost all the customers are satisfied with the
type of garments they use.
 Thoughts of customers about branded garments – Most of the customers think that
branded garments are status symbol and overpriced than non-branded garments and also
makes the customers more brand conscious with increasing in level of income.

4. To analyse the impact of selling and promotional techniques of seller which leads to
grab the attention of consumers to their preferable garments.

 Impact of Advertisement – From the survey, we conclude that most of the customers
are influenced by the advertisement of garments.

5. To identify the latest fashion trends according to the consumer’s perception and
culture.

 Choice of garments – 71% customer prefers to wear comfortable garments whereas the
remaining 29% customers prefers to wear garments according to the latest fashion trend
prevailing in the market.

4.2 RECOMMENDATIONS:

something. Here, the recommendations are given on the


basis of customer perception about branded and non-
branded garments. Customers are very price conscious
as they are having many options in the market. The
following steps recommended be opted to follow:
1. Shop-keepers can provide good customer services so that customers like to visit again.
Customer service is very important for the shops because if the customer service is not
good then no one will want to buy products from that shop.

2. Proper training is recommended to be provided to the shopkeepers so that they can deal
with the customers efficiently. By doing this, the customers will be satisfied which helps
the shop to maintain goodwill among the customers.
3. Various offers can be provided to customers for attracting them towards their product.
There are many customers who only shops during offers. If the shop provides offers, then
it attracts the customers more specially the off season offers.
4. Quality in product is advised to be reached up to the mark. Shopkeepers should keep in
mind about the quality of the product because if the quality is good then customers won’t
hesitate to pay a bit more amount. Quality is a very important factor that every shop should
maintain.
5. It is recommended for a proper assortment of various product categories. Owners of
the shops should assort the garments in category such that it helps in saving time and the
products can be found in one place. Doing this helps the customers to easily find the
garments they are looking for.
