LEARNING ABOUT IT

Hello kids! Let us learn how to make


predictions. We predict using two easy steps!
First, look for clues in the picture or in the
story you are reading.
Second, make a guess based on the clues
from the text or pictures.

When you predict, you might be correct, or


the author might surprise you.

First, the cat hits the cup.

Next, the cup falls.

Try this one.


Anne loves to have her own bike. When Aunt
Remy got a new bike, she gave her old one
to Anne. The old bike looked worn. Its seat was
too soft, and the paint was peeling off.

Here is the complete story.
