    Rik je na spisku za „odstrel” moćne bande krijumčara drogom.
    Mel Gibson i Goldi Hon glume nekadašnji par koje je ponovo spojila opasnost. Kad je okoreli kriminalac pušten iz zatvora, želi
    da se osveti čoveku koji ga je tamo poslao.
    FBI je Riku dao novi identitet jer je pomagao tajnoj službi da uhapsi velikog trgovaca drogom. Petnaest godina kasnije bivša
    Rikova zaručnica, a sada uspešna advokatkinja, prepozna svog bivšeg dečka. No Rik ima ozbiljnijih problema. Agent zadužen
    za Rikovu sigurnost zamenjen je, a na njegovo mesto dolazi korumpirani agent koji dileru droge, protiv kojeg je Rik svedočio,
    otkriva gde se Rik skriva.
    U vreme kada je Melova popularnost bila na vrhuncu zahvaljujući "Smrtonosnom oružju" i "Pobešnjelom Maksu", Gibson je
    odlučio snimiti "Pticu na žici", koju će sa oduševljenjem pogledati svi oni koji se nisu mogli zasiti Gibsonovih vratolomija i
    ludorija na filmskom platnu sa kraja 80-tih i početkom 90-tih.
    Mel Gibson, jedan od najpopularnijih i najsimpatičnijih glumaca Holivuda sa kraja 80-tih i početkom 90-tih je u paru sa vrlo
    popularnom Goldie Hawn, snimio zabavni i uspešni akcijski film, koji se prvenstveno zasniva na odličnoj glumačkoj hemiji
