Skills and Livelihood Seminar and Training for Everyone

I. Introduction:

Everyone of us used to live a regular life, with happy families, parents working hard for our futures, children
attending a reputable school, and earning enough money to meet our basic needs. However, due to rapid economic
expansion, natural disasters, and financial troubles, we may notice a significant increase in the number of families
suffering from poverty for many reasons and circumstances. Many individuals suffer from poverty because they choose
to give up on life and let poverty pull them down, as we've seen on television and social media, and many of them lose
hope and don't know how to start over.As concerned citizens and students of this generation, we want to do our part to
give these poor people hope that, despite the problems that have arisen in their lives that have caused them to fall,
there will still be a chance for them to rise and begin a new life. Those who live on the streets, youngsters who beg for
food, and those who cannot afford to attend school. We know that giving them a little hope is just a small thing, but we
know that it will provide them with a ray of hope that will help them rebuild their lives and start over.

We, the students, and some members of the barangay aim to come up with a solution to assist these impoverished
folks and offer them a chance to start again. This initiative intends to not only assist them, but also to inspire others to
come up with their own ideas to assist them, so that we can all work together to help each other live a more fulfilling
life.

II. Purpose:

The goal of this initiative is to assist disadvantaged people, particularly those who have not completed their
schooling, by teaching them fundamental skills in various livelihood activities such as basic car repair, soap making, basic
housekeeping skills, furniture manufacturing, handicraft and etc. This livelihood skills can help them transcend poverty
in some way because they can use them to create a small business, and these skills that we teach them will hopefully
help them live a better life than before. We also want to remind others that we, the youth of today, are concerned
about what is going on in our society, particularly in terms of poverty. That even at our age, we can make a difference
for a brighter future for ourselves.

Below are the objectives of our program:

- to teach the impoverished some fundamental skills in various livelihood skills.

- to assist underprivileged people in regaining their footing by teaching them basic skills.
- to promote public awareness about how the youth are concerned about finding a solution to poverty.

- to provide people with a source of income that they may utilize to start a small business or go to work.

- to help lower the number of people living in poverty in each barangay through the skills that they would gain.

III. Description:

The program or seminar in which every poor person in every barangay participates in a skills and livelihood
seminar, which will be held twice a week (every Friday and Saturday). However, only 50 underprivileged people will be
allowed to attend each seminar so that our seminar mentors can address all of the participants' needs and queries. With
the support of our sponsors, we will provide the seminar participants with products and basic equipment that they can
use to establish their own small business if they so desire.

This will serve as a weekly routine for all poor people in every barangay; we will give a special recommendation or
reward to the barangay with the most participants each week, and at the end of each month, they will receive a
certificate of appreciation and award for being the most active participants in every seminar.

IV. Support for the project:

We need sponsors to fund these seminars and programs, in the range of 8,000 to 20,000 pesos, as well as a
location for the said seminar program, which we believe the barangays will provide, such as seminar halls or basketball
courts in their own barangay, and a projector with white screen for the instructions and information that will be
presented. We believe that an amount of 30,000 above will cover all of the requirements for this seminar to be a
success.
