E Description

Engagement The students will begin the lesson by watching this Youtube video:
https://youtu.be/NdRuU5ON-LU. The video the students will watch is an
overview of the American Revolution, it discusses and includes the battles of
Lexington and Concord, Bunker Hill, Saratoga, and Yorktown. Students will
record and submit a flipgrid and identify one of the battles and a brief
explanation of the battle.

Engagement The assessment for the engagement part of the lesson will be the Flipgrid. I will

the information from the video they were watching. I can also observe if the
students watched and responded to two classmates.

Exploration The students will share a google doc with one other student within the
classroom and they will create a timeline of the different battles of the American
Revolution through google slides or a google document and be able to
collaborate and multiple students be on the same document or slide working
together, even if they are not in the same place. When the students are
finished, they were link the document or presentation into a google form.

Explanation The students will complete a kahoot: https://create.kahoot.it/share/american-

is discussing American Revolution events and battles that occurred. The
students can choose to play one on one or invite classmates from school to
play with them on the kahoot. Also, during this part of the lesson, students will
review a quizlet of important terms that are linked to the American Revolution:

will review the vocabulary and important terms discussing the American
Revolution. Students will then complete the edpuzzle linked:

watch the 10-minute video discussing the American Revolution and will answer
comprehension questions that are placed throughout the video.

Explanation The assessment for the explanation section of this lesson will be the Edpuzzle:

Elaboration Students will choose one of the following battles from the American Revolution:
battle of Lexington and Concord, Bunker Hill, Saratoga, or Yorktown and create
a webpage discussing the battle. The students will need to include the following
information on the webpage that, any important dates of the battles, who was
the battle between, where was the battle, insert a photo from the battle, and
three important facts that you have learned from the battle. The students will
turn in a link or screenshot of the webpage to this google form: for me to grade
during the evaluation section of this lesson. The students can use weebly or
google sites. The student will share their google site with one student and will
list it on the bottom of their web page.

Evaluation The students will be evaluated based on the webpage they created during the
elaboration phase. The students will upload a screenshot of the webpage into a
