This webinar was entitled Building Your Own Online Store: A

WEBSITESADVICE Tutorial by Websites Advice. Facilitated by Mary Myka

Paumba last March 20, 2021 in their Pagebook Page. The trend in online

shopping has catapulted from its beginnings to unprecedented heights. There

are many industry leaders and eCommerce businesses like Amazon, Alibaba,

eBay, Flipkart and many more, but their presence doesn’t allow you to be

overwhelmed. By launching your online store with WooCommerce and

WordPress you can create your own presence and E – Commerce.

In this eCommerce market there is still a lot to be learned and your

business will become the next big name in this field. You can either have a

huge online store with everything you need to sell in it or you can specialize in a

limited number of products such as electronics, books or furniture making a

good name for yourself in that field and then move on to bigger stakes. Is up to

you to decide how to run your business.

History of the Company

Our team provides web hosting, website builders, and e-Commerce

reviews based on intensive researches and accredited resources. We

of step-by-step processes on how to build websites and set-up online

business. Our future webinar will include: Tech talks, startup stories, tips

and guidance. Events featuring influential tech industry experts and

investors; Career and leadership development. We aim to build a strong

support network for Filipinos to enter and grow their tech careers or

become tech entrepreneurs online

BODY OF JOURNAL

Selling products through an online store is the perfect way to

introduce your items to a large number of people at once. There are so

many benefits over physical stores to the eCommerce website. And that’s

why a large number of traders are inclined to take their business to the

next level by developing an eCommerce website. Nevertheless “Creating

an Online Store Using” sounds like a lot of effort. Isn’t that it? But, in this

post, you ‘re going to see how easy it is.

With these easy options, you can easily create, manage and

maintain your own website. There is no need to hire IT engineers, and

every now and then there is no need to request technical assistance for

site maintenance. Just do it on your own.

FACTS ABOUT E-COMMERCE:

You’ve decided to jump into the exciting eCommerce business, so here’s

some basic facts just to put things in perspective for you.

 Approximately 55% of all sales worldwide were made online through

a website or mobile app in 2017.

 70% of these orders were produced using mobile devices such as

smartphones and tablets.

 90% of the shoppers online are influenced by social media posts and

advertisements.

WORDPRESS MADE WEBSITE CREATION EASIER

Next comes the challenge of choosing the right eCommerce platform for

your website. While there are so many eCommerce platforms available to

get going with your online sales website, I recommend using WordPress.

Why? Why? Since WordPress is a free and open source CMS, and there’s

no limit to what you can do about it. WordPress has made it easier for non

– technical people to build their own dream websites. Plus, we’ve got a

powerful WooCommerce plugin. It helps you turn your WordPress website

into a fully functioning eCommerce website.

Step 1: Acquire a domain and hosting plan or service

Step 2: Choose your ecommerce wordpress theme

Step 3: Customize your own online store

Step 4: Add products that you intend to sell

Step 5: Create product categories according to the product types

Step 6: Add product title, images, prices and description

Step 7: Setup payment gateways

Step 8: Manage the inventory of your online store

Step 9: Set the prices, taxes and discounts

SUMMARY / CONCLUSION

Building an eCommerce web site has become simpler with the

introduction of the CMS and eCommerce platforms. You don’t have to hire

experts to get the job done. So even if you are not a programmer or an expert in

coding, you can easily create and maintain your online shop. In addition, the

WooCommerce documentation and the theme will help you easily set up your

website.

RECOMMENDATION

And now is the perfect time to take the first big decision that can change

the way a business is running. Digitize your shop and let more and more

customers purchase your products regardless of the physical limits. Do you

have any experience using WooCommerce?

BODY OF JOURNAL

A professor, an entrepreneur, and a student, David O. Molina talks about Start

Now: Harnessing the Future in Innovation that the main learning was how

marketing and entrepreneurship changed his game in business. That

Technology has affected our culture in such a way that what made your

business successful in the past won’t guarantee future success. Digital

transformation combines technologies with organisational, operational, and

business model innovation to enable business growth. There’s no better time to

embrace digital transformation than the present. The challenge for business

leaders is to take their companies to the next level through digital

transformation. The most successful digital transformation initiatives are centred

on re-envisioning operational processes and business models, not to simply

introduce new technology, but to reshape the customer journey.

SUMMARY / CONCLUSION

Today, we live in a dynamic and turbulent global community. The wave

of mega-trends, including rapid change in globalization and technological

advances, is creating new market forces. For any organization to survive and

prosper in such an environment, innovation is imperative. However, innovation

is no longer just for creating value to benefit individuals, organizations, or

societies. The ultimate purpose of innovation should be much more far

reaching, helping create a smart future where people can enjoy the best quality

of life possible. Thus, innovation must search for intelligent solutions to tackle

major social ills, seek more proactive approaches to predict the uncertain future,

and pursue strategies to remove barriers to the smart future.

RECOMMENDATION

Innovation is about the actual implementation of new ideas or

technologies to create new value in fundamentally different ways than in the

past. In the continuous efforts to confront complex challenges in the networked

global market, innovation is imperative. Some programs that I recommend that

our society must do:

1. Applied research centers for convergence innovation and venture

creation.
2. Support of technological small/medium enterprises (SMEs).
3. Support of educational programs in science, engineering, and
mathematics.
4. Government structure, budgets and policies for job creation.

Organizational Structure / Chart

BODY OF JOURNAL

Shem-Mia A. Mangonon talks about Sustainability in Action wherein a

sustainable communities start with the actions of individuals. The goal of a

sustainable business strategy is to make a positive impact on at least one of

those areas. When companies fail to assume responsibility, the opposite can

happen, leading to issues like environmental degradation, inequality, and social

injustice.

Sustainable businesses consider a wide array of environmental,

economic, and social factors when making businesses decisions. These

organizations monitor the impact of their operations to ensure that their short-

term profits don’t turn into long-term liabilities.

Examples of Sustainability in Business

1. Many successful organizations participate in sustainable business

practices, however, no two strategies are exactly the same.

2. Sustainable business strategies are unique to each organization as they

tie into larger business goals and organizational values.

Beyond helping curb global challenges, sustainability can drive business

success.

How To Create A More Sustainable Business Strategy

1. Assess the Problem and Define Objectives

2. Establish Your Mission
3. Craft Your Strategy
4. Implement Strategy and Assess Results

SUMMARY / CONCLUSION

When objectives become a purpose, a powerful story is

established. That story will drive your mission and allow you to create an

actionable plan. This plan is then ready to drive results and make you a

true doer. Don’t worry if results don’t come immediately; the road to 100

percent sustainability is long and may take testing a few different

approaches for you to make your greatest impact.

RECOMMENDATION

In crafting a sustainable business strategy, it’s important to ensure your

company remains profitable. You can’t help your cause if you can’t stay in

business. As proven, your sustainability efforts may help you become more

profitable.

Consider the triple bottom line, which refers to how a company’s actions

impact profit, people, and the planet. With this framework in mind, you can

develop a sustainable business strategy that's also profitable.

Small changes can be the starting point for big change. For instance,

does your company typically leave the electricity and heat on overnight, even

when there no employees are on site? Imagine how much savings could be

realized, in both cost and energy resources, if the last person in the office

simply shut them off, or if you used a timer or motion sensor to automatically

turn them off after the last person left. So a sustainable action: change starts

here, STARTS WITH ME.

This Virtual Symposium was entitled ADAPT Marketing Strategies

Amidst Uncertainty by University of Santo Tomas Co-Presented by Pointman

Management Specialist Inc. and World Balance, and it was facilitated by

Eduardo G. Ong, LLb, PHD, DPA, DBA, headed by John Paul Villareal the

chairman of Marketing Symposium 2021.

Name of the Company

University of San Tomas

History of the Company

One of the biggest Colleges in the University of Santo Tomas, the

College of Commerce was established by the Very Rev. Fr. Silvestre Sancho,

O.P in 1930 as a department in the College of Education that offered a two-year

associate program in Commercial Science.

Although it remained attached to the College of Education, the

department was raised to the rank of a School of Commerce in 1933, with Dr.

Stanley Prescott as Director. Eventually, the College of Education granted its

autonomy in 1934. Dr. Stanley Prescott was given the honor and the

responsibility to be the first Dean of the College of Commerce and Rev. Fr.

Ciriaco Pedrosa, O.P. as the first Regent. In 1940, during the deanship of Rev.

Fr. Pedro Mateos, O.P., different fields of specialization were introduced,

namely: Accounting, Management, Marketing, Economics, Banking and

Finance, which were revitalized by the succeeding administrators.

The College was forced to close during the Second World War and

reopened in June 1945. Under the deanship of Dr. Mariano Apacible, the four

major programs of the College namely, Accounting, Banking and Finance,

Economics and Management, were fortified with pedagogy improvements.

In 1988, the College officially became known as the College of

Commerce and Accountancy. In March of 1990, the College was granted a

Level II Deregulated Status by the Federation of Accrediting Agencies of the

Philippines (FAAP). The Philippine Association of Colleges and Universities

Committee on Accreditation (PACUCOA) granted the College a Level II Formal

Status in 1993 and reaccreditation in 1998. In 1999, under the charge of Dean

Amelia Halili, the College was recognized as a “Center of Development” by the

Commission on Higher Education (CHED).

ORGANIZATIONAL STRUCTURE

BODY OF JOURNAL

The talk of Dr. Eduardo G. Ong, LLb, PHD, DPA, DBA is about on how

do marketing professionals cope-up and reinvent themselves when a once-in-a-

century event brings uncertainty and the looming potential of an economic

downturn? Consumer buys solution, they don't anymore buy product because of

its impact but they buy it because of the solutions they provide."

Customers don't just decide to buy. There are many factors to be

considered in their decision making. Knowing what a customer wants and

needs in their buying decision helps business keep up their game. But during

this unfortunate time, what is really important for the customers? Is the brand

important in their decision making? Or word of mouth is a big factor to

consumer decision process? Discover new strategies amidst this time of

uncertainty!

No one can foretell the future. Today, business leaders are guiding their

respective companies through the uncertainty. The good news is that many

companies are finding innovative ways to not just survive, but thrive, in the

current business landscape. And these positive changes seem to be here to

stay. That companies can effectively strategize, innovate, pivot and execute can

more easily position their businesses for success in an ever-changing outlook.

Here are three areas of your marketing strategy you can adapt to make the

most of turbulent times. In this time of crisis, cutting marketing budgets does

more damage than good for the brand – this is an important time to stay top-of-

mind. Be sure to instead use your marketing budget as efficiently as possible.

Look for the most cost-efficient ROI channels that are flexible and can be

adjusted with ease. As more people stay at home digital channels, TV, and

radio are expecting to grow. However, this is not the time to lock in a big chunk

of your marketing budget in a channel that isn’t flexible.

SUMMARY / CONCLUSION

While no one knows for sure what the business landscape will look like in

the future, the importance of strategy is one thing that isn’t going away. With a

focus on innovation and a little creativity, businesses can create a real

opportunity for themselves in the new normal.

RECOMMENDATION

Cut costs – but do it right. Don’t remove your brand and your message

from the space of the customer. Brand presence is crucial at this time and

cutting ad spend for too long could have long-term consequences.

Investigate how you can adapt to work more cost efficiently in your marketing

department. In-housing digital advertising is increasing in popularity and there’s

no better time to do that than now.

If your marketing department lacks the resources for managing advertising in-

house completely – there are self-service, easy-to-use advertising platforms.

Mainly, eliminate functions that are not essential and those that do not bring

direct return on your business’ performance – but don’t let your brand lose

market share along the way.

INTRODUCTION

This webinar was entitled How Digital Branding: Creating Your Business'

Identity, facilitated by Mary Myka Paumba last April 17, 2021 in their Pagebook

Page. The terms "brand" and logo" are often used interchangeably. But though

a logo can be the symbol of a business, it is not the entirety of a brand. In fact,

creating a logo is just one small step toward developing a strong brand identity.

With millions, if not billions, of businesses trying to make a name for

themselves, having a strong brand has become crucial for businesses to

differentiate themselves from their competitors.

If you're working to develop your first brand identity for a client, or you're doing

this for your own business, it's important to first understand what a brand is and

what it takes to create one. Unfortunately, it's not as easy as giving the

business a name and plastering it on everything.

BODY OF JOURNAL

Why is brand identity so important?

As the embodiment of almost everything your business is and does,

according to Purely Branded, a brand "lives and evolves in the minds and

hearts" of consumers. Its identity, therefore, is crucial to the business's future.

So, if your brand is more than just its logo, how can you replicate what brands

like Coca-Cola have done and tap these other elements of your business's

identity? Here are six components of a well-developed brand identity, and why

it's so important for you to develop them.

Digital branding is how you design and build your brand online through

websites, apps, social media, video and more. Digital branding consists of a

combination of digital marketing and internet branding to develop a brand online.

Why does a digital brand presence matter? Well, look up from that phone

you’re probably on… We’re all using our devices constantly. Most of us engage

with the larger world through the lens of the internet, which makes it essential

for brands to reach target customers and convert one-time users into long-term

loyalists.
Digital branding enables any company to make its presence known

anywhere—even in the palm of your hand. After all, if my mom has an

Instagram, why shouldn’t my favorite shoe brand?

The benefits of digital branding

A robust digital presence makes customers feel personally involved with

a company or product. Well-crafted branding fosters relationships with users

and allows you to speak directly with consumers through day-to-day interactions

on the platforms they’re already using.

The "Face" of Your Business

For all intents and purposes, your brand's logo is the "face" of your business.

But that face should do more than just look cool or interesting -- a logo's

contribution to brand identity is associative, too. It tells the public that [this

image] means [the name of your company].

Credibility and Trust

Having a brand identity doesn't just make your product more memorable; it

makes your brand more authoritative in the marketplace. A brand that

establishes a face, and maintains that face consistently over time, develops

credibility among its competitors and trust among its customers.

Advertising Impressions

A brand identity is a template for everything you would include on an

advertisement for your business -- whether that ad is in print, online, or a preroll

commercial on YouTube. A brand with a face and industry credibility is well

prepared to promote itself and make impressions on potential buyers.

Your Company's Mission

When you create an identity for your brand, you're giving it something to stand

for. That, in turn, gives your company a purpose. We all know companies have

mission statements, right? Well, you can't have one without first giving your

brand an identity.

SUMMARY / CONCLUSION

A digital brand identity -- one with a face, trust, and a mission -- attracts people

who agree with what your brand has to offer. But once these people become

customers, that same brand identity gives them a sense of belonging. A good

product generates customers, but a good brand generates advocates.

If you want your business to become a well-known and beloved brand name, it's

going to take some work. The following steps will help you build a brand

identity.
RECOMMENDATION

Finally, completing a SWOT Analysis can be beneficial to better

understand your brand. Considering the characteristics of the brand will help

you find characteristics you want to portray in the brand. SWOT stands for:

 Strengths: Positive characteristics of your business that provide an

advantage over your competition.

 Weaknesses: Characteristics that prove to be a disadvantage to your

business.

 Opportunities: Changes and trends in your industry that offer

opportunities for your business.

 Threats: Elements in the environment or industry that may cause

problems for your business.

INTRODUCTION

This webinar was entitled How To Speak The Language Of Project

Management by Websites Advice. Facilitated by Mary Myka Paumba last April

24, 2021 in their Pagebook Page. Project management is an entire field of study

in and of itself. But many people, in many roles, manage projects in an

“unofficial” capacity. Even if you have no formal project management training,

you still want to be taken seriously in your PM duties. To make that happen, you

need to speak the language of project management. That means you’re able to

use the correct terminology and you’re able to understand those who reference

critical PM processes and concepts.

Name of the Company

Websites Advice

History of the Company

Our team provides web hosting, website builders, and e-Commerce

reviews based on intensive researches and accredited resources. We ensure
quality and honest reviews. We also give free webinars and ebooks of step-by-
step processes on how to build websites and set-up online business. Our future
webinar will include: Tech talks, startup stories, tips and guidance. Events
featuring influential tech industry experts and investors; Career and leadership
development. We aim to build a strong support network for Filipinos to enter
and grow their tech careers or become tech entrepreneurs online. We learn
about the definitions for the most frequently used project management
terminology. The most common project management methodologies and the
key differentiators between them. The various types of project documentation
you may be asked to create, update or manage. And what to do if/when you’re
confused by the PM discussions in which you’re involved.

BODY OF JOURNAL

Imagine being asked to work on a project, only you don’t speak the language in

the country in which it will be conducted. You wouldn’t get very far, and you’d

most likely experience a lot of raised eyebrows because all you could do is point

and smile. Sharing a common language is not the same thing as speaking the

same mother tongue. But, as project managers will tell you, project-speak has a

dialect all its own.  Effective project managers need more than technical know-

how. The role also requires several non-technical skills, and it is these softer

skills that often determine whether a project manager — and the project — will

be successful. Project managers must have these seven non-technical skills:

leadership, motivation, communication, organization, prioritization, problem-

solving, and adaptability. It's also beneficial to have a strategic mindset,

have change management and organizational development expertise, agility,

and conflict resolution capabilities, among other skills. Successfully managing a

project from start to finish requires certain key skills. Scheduling, time

management, and the ability to negotiate with internal and external parties are

all critical competencies. Leadership, risk management, and critical thinking

similarly all fall high on the list.

But the skill that is perhaps most important to project management is the

one that underlies all of these others: Communication.

Without strong communication skills, project managers would find it incredibly

difficult, if not impossible, to effectively manage their teams and coordinate

efforts in order to bring about a project’s successful resolution.

Without this communication, it’s possible that efforts might be duplicated

by multiple people or teams involved in the project, that important goals and

milestones might be missed, that resources become misallocated, or that the

project’s scope begins to creep outside of the realm of what was originally

intended. The end result is that projects can screech to a halt, or worse: fail

altogether.

SUMMARY / CONCLUSION

As a part of their day-to-day jobs, project managers perform a variety of roles

and responsibilities. At its core, however, the job is about coordinating the

efforts of everyone involved in a project so that shared goals can be achieved.

This requires that a project manager is skilled in gathering information and in

sharing it with the right people on their team.

RECOMMENDATION

As a project manager, a large part of your job is to act as a gatekeeper to

information. While this means that you are responsible for providing relevant
information to the members of your team, it also means that you are responsible

for shielding them from irrelevant information which might cause confusion or

otherwise disrupt their work.

Understanding how to determine who gets what information is an

essential part of a project manager’s job. Similarly, it’s up to you to determine

the best channel and form of communication for whatever audience you are

speaking to. Don’t be afraid to tailor your methods of communication to

individual stakeholders or members of your team, if you think doing so will help

the project stay on track.

For example, if you know that a certain stakeholder prefers to analyze

the numbers, you might want to generate a granular report for them that goes

into the level of detail they are looking for. On the other hand, if a different

stakeholder is only concerned with high-level numbers and key takeaways, you

might instead choose to leverage graphs and charts to illustrate those key

points.
