    2021 Siegel Summer Running Series

    Details
    The Summer Running Series (6 meets) will be held at the Siegel High School Track, located off Thompson Lane, in Murfreesboro. These
    events provide opportunities for runners of all ages and abilities to enjoy running a variety of distances. There are no “requirements” for
    participation in the running series. If you don't want to run, come out and socialize with the other spectators and cheer everyone on.

    • Entry fee is only $5/person—all the events you want. Registration opens at 6:00 PM at the track. Just show up, pay the entry
    fee (check or cash).
    • Spectators are free, but we ask that you consider making a donation to the Siegel Cross Country girls/boys’ program.

    • 50 Meter Dash (Kids 6 & under ONLY – untimed heats) • 100 Meter Dash (Kids 10 & under ONLY – untimed heats)
    • 1 mile (1609 meters) • 1500 Meters
    • 200 Meters (Kids 10 & under separate – untimed heats) • 400 Meters (Kids 10 & under separate – untimed heats)
    • 800 Meters • 800 Meters
    • 5000 Meters • 2-mile (3218 meters)

    • We will have a digital clock set up, but there will be no official timekeeping or records kept for events 400 meters and below.
    • There will be official timekeeping and results for all events 800 and above.
    • There will be multiple heats per event as needed, based on runners of similar ability. The 2 mile and 5000 will be run in one
    heat.
    • ONLY RUNNING SHOES AND 1/4 INCH SPIKES ALLOWED.

    Waivers: Each athlete must have a signed waiver for each meet. Athletes 17 and under must have a waiver signed by parent or guardian
    for each meet.

    Inclement Weather. Meets may be delayed or cancelled due to inclement weather. The meet director will make a final decision by 6:00
