Every day we are tested with unimaginable challenges and difficulties, may it be with our
families at home, in school or at our workplace. And during these times, we often lose our way
when we compare ourselves to others. We lose our motivation, our drive, our inspirations, and
our dreams once we look in the mirror and start comparing ourselves with others.

Courage – a simple word that seems too easy to do but, many of us has failed to embrace. Being
courageous and brave is everything. It is vital to have faith in yourself, to be true to yourself no
matter what standards the society put you through, and to have courage to do what it takes to
achieve your goal no matter how big or difficult they are sometimes. Courage means being able
to accept defeat – to be completely honest with who you are and what you are capable of to an
extent. Courage means being strong enough to face your fears and struggles head-on.

As an individual who has been pursuing a dream that is so far fetch that my original plans laid
for myself before, I have learned what it takes to be strong even when it’s incredibly difficult to
do so. Having the courage to believe in myself through all the experiences – good or bad, and to
always be grateful for who and what I have become every day.

Living truthfully and fearlessly involves all the courage you can muster within you, even amidst
all the uncertainties we face. Because courage, courage is staying committed to yourself, to
what you believe in even without any guarantee of it. And to never, ever compare your chapter
one to someone else’s chapter 20.

Do not hold yourself back, and if you may feel fear, do it anyway. For you are the only one who
can stop yourself from reaching your highest potential. We are all dealing with certain struggles,
some may seem stronger or more progressive than you are today, but you as well, are stronger
than you might even realize. So, let go of all the envy, the doubt, the negativity and feed your
mind with peace, hope, and most of all courage. For you are strong enough to conquer any
challenge you may face if you’re not afraid to try.
