5 IMPORTANT NUTRIENTS

Nutrients are compounds in foods essential to life and health, providing us with energy, the
building blocks for repair and growth and substances necessary to regulate chemical
processes in our body. There are many important nutrients we need to practice for our daily
food. First, the important nutrient we need to practice is protein. It is because protein is
needed for growth, repair and maintenance of all body cells. Our hormones, antibodies, and
other important substances are composed of protein. Examples of protein are meat, fish,
chicken, eggs and others.

Second, carbohydrate also the most important nutrient for our daily food. It is because
carbohydrate provide fuel for the central nervous system and energy for working muscles.
Carbohydrates also important for our brain function such as mood, memory also as well as a
quick energy source. In my opinion, carbohydrate consist of milk, vegetables, bread and
others.

Third, the important nutrient we need in our body to keep it healthy is vitamins. It is because
vitamins help regulate important bodily functions such as manufacturing healthy blood cells,
liberating energy from carbohydrate, fat and protein. There are 13 essential vitamins that the
body needs to function properly, including vitamins A, C, B6, and D. Vitamins also essential
for healthy vision, skin, and bones.

Fourth, minerals also one of the important nutrient to keep our body healthy. It is because
minerals assisting nerve transmission and muscle contraction and regulating fluid levels and
the acid base balance of the body. Some of the most common minerals are calcium, iron, and
zinc.

Last but not least, the important nutrient we need in our body to keep it healthy is fat. It is
because fat provide energy and escort the fat-soluble vitamins, A, D, E, and K. But we need
to control our fat wisely.
