NOTES:
 Machine is able to operate with External Sensor, Encoder, Alarm at a time. Consult your
supplier for further supports on the settings and connections.
 To connect machine with External Sensor, Encoder, Alarm, etc…, additional connector

5.2. External Encoder

An encoder is recommended to ensure the best print quality regardless the inconsistent speed
of conveyor.
Based on the resolution (R) of the encoder, you can calculate the diameter (D) of the wheel
you should use based on the following formula:
D = R/( x 600) (inches)
Example: Encoder has R = 3600 (PPR)
 D = 1.90985 inches ~ 48.5 mm.

Template Layout Object properties

6.2.2. Template Layout
Template layout is one of important component on software. It will allow you design or layout
any printing object on there. These are some of main detail of this template layout.

USER MANUAL V5.0 | Updated Mar 22, 2021 26

6.2.2.a. Template Ruler
This ruler uses to measure the distance between objects. You can use this in mm, cm, pixel or
inch units. Go to Settings  Advanced Settings  Design Units to change.

6.2.2.b. Template Section

All template will include 2 sections and each section will be corresponded with each
printhead on each port of controller.
6.2.3. Object List
Use these tool to adjust your object after put them to template.

List all objects present on your template.

Use Up / Down arrow to bring up or down one object over or under (layer index) other object.
You can select and delete object in this list.

6.3. Printing parameters

6.3.1. Head Settings

USER MANUAL V5.0 | Updated Mar 22, 2021 27

6.3.1.a. Print quality

Resolution
Support up to 6 resolutions: 300x100, 300x120, 300x150, 300x200, 300x300 and 300x600.
This setting will apply for all heads that connected to printer. The resolution will effect to speed
of printer, higher resolution you selected slower printing speed you get.

Channel
ODD: Printer will to use the Odd side nozzle on the cartridge to print only.
EVEN: Printer will to use the Even side nozzle on the cartridge to print only.

Density
Select the drops number for each pixel. Support: 1 drop, 2 drops and 3 drops.

Direction
Sets direction print of printhead with conveyor run direction.

Delay before
This value is distance from position of sensor to begin of printing messages.
 For box application

USER MANUAL V5.0 | Updated Mar 22, 2021 28

 For web application

Disable sensor
Disable sensor is a distance between two sensor marks or it’s a product length.
The purpose of this setting is prevent multiple print on one product and make sure at all time
only one print on one product only (except in case the user adjusts Repeat Time of sensor
mode to other value. See next items for Repeat Times of sensor mode).

So in this distance, the printer will accept first sensor signal only and it will ignore any signals
after that. This happened when your product has multiple colors and it make sensor continuous
recognize.

Take a look at below picture to get more understanding about this delay.

USER MANUAL V5.0 | Updated Mar 22, 2021 29

 For web application

 For box application

USER MANUAL V5.0 | Updated Mar 22, 2021 30

Fixed length - On both Print mode: Sensor & Continuous
Fixed length is distance between two repeat printing.
Fixed length is used once Repeat Times value is different 0 with Sensor mode.

6.3.1.b. Calibrate voltage

Some special case we need calibrate voltage for increase quality of print on special operating
conditions.

6.3.1.c. Stitching

Printhead alignment (mm): adjust the distance between printheads. The desired distance
in the fact should be come into zero.
Depend on the direction of printing, you will choose a based printhead that can be
PH1 or PH2 and put the alignment value to zero. Then continue to measure distance
from based printhead and printhead remaining. Please notice that in the picture above
the highest printhead is PH1.

Stitch Y (px): adjust overlap density between printheads. Increase value of

stitching Y will decrease the overlap between heads. Unit is pixel.
Stitch Y (px) of head 1: adjust the overlap between head 1 and head 2.

USER MANUAL V5.0 | Updated Mar 22, 2021 31

6.3.2. System Settings

6.3.2.a. Encoder

Internal Encoder

Enable this option to allow the printer printing without the real encoder, you will able to adjust
the simulate speed to software at speed text box.

USER MANUAL V5.0 | Updated Mar 22, 2021 32

External Encoder

Enable this option to allow received the speed parameter from a rotary encoder. The encoder
hardware must to connect to controller. PPR: 3600 (Default with our standard encoder),
Diameter(mm): 48.51 (Default with our standard encoder). Rate scale is 1.00.
If the encoder parameters are inconsistent, it will affect the print quality so please follow
encoder formula (Page 15).

6.3.2.b. Skew angel

Allows users to rotate printing message with the desired angle.

Minimum value is -25 and maximum value is 25.

6.3.2.c. Print mode

Allow user control which mode the printer should be used to print.

Sensor mode: Internal or External

Machine is triggered by sensor and print.

Repeat sensor
Repeat sensor is number of printing times that you need to print for each sensor signal.

USER MANUAL V5.0 | Updated Mar 22, 2021 33

Default value of Repeat sensor is 0, maximum value is 255 times. That’s mean NO repeat
printing required and printer will print normally. One times for one sensor signal.

Continuous mode
Continuous mode one of printing mode that allow the printer printing out without using the
sensor. This mode is useful in web / pipe / roll application (without sensor mark).
This mode also uses to check the working status of printers. In some case you are doubt about
printing ability of printer. Combine use this checking with disable the encoder. Once you have
been disabled the Encoder and printing under Continuous mode, printer still not able to print.
That mean it have trouble with hardware or connect. Contact now with your supplier.
Immediate: Print continue without sensor signal.
Level: Print continue with sensor signal.
 Ignore data: Print data at beginning template when sensor ON.
 Keep data: Print data when sensor ON.
First trigger: The same with Immediate mode but need trigger first sensor signal.

6.3.2.d. Bi-directional
Bi-directional printing, sometimes referred to as "boustrophedon printing," involves printing a
line from left-to-right, and then from right-to-left rather than returning to the left to start the next
line.

NOTES:
 Recommend set up printhead to position receive sensor trigger (Distance to head = 0)
 So we just need to set up Delay before for direction left to right and Adjust for direction
right to left.
 If you cannot set up printhead to position receive sensor trigger, you will need to add
