Social networking, also known as social media is the use of internet based
application to build relationships with people like our family and friend. In line with
technological advance, almost all of us have learned how to use social networking like
Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Snapchat. But, it is true that social media has caused
us a lot of problems? In my opinion, social networking has its advantages and
disadvantages. It actually depends on how we use it.
I believe that social media has many benefits for us because it brings people
closer even though they are from different part of the world. By using social
networking, a person can communicate with his family and friends wherever they are.
Furthermore, social networking are free of charge. We are able to share our life stories
and special moments through social networking. For example, we can see pictures of
beautiful scenery and cultural activities posted by user from various countries. We can
also interact with them through the use of chat rooms and also by posting comment.
Another benefits of social networking is that communities around the world can
discuss about this important topic and share their views. This can widen a person’s
knowledge because communities can discover a variety or things he or she knew. For
example, young people around the world are now more involved in their countries.
They have more caring attitude towards other important issues both at home and
abroad.
Ideas are developed and organized but there’s no proper ending. You are advised to
write about your own experiences regarding this issue and please give at least three
main ideas with clear elaborations to support your view. Good job, Rusyaidi!!!

Social networking sites are a great platform for people to connect with their loved
ones. It helps in increasing communications with people all over the world. Although
people believe that social networking sites are harmful, they are also very beneficial.
Social networking sites are everywhere now. In other words, they have taken over
almost every sphere of life. They come with both, advantages as well as
disadvantages. If we talk about the educational field, these sites enhance education by
having an influence on the learners. They can explore various topics for their projects.
Furthermore, the business field benefits a lot from social networking sites. The
companies use social networking sites to connect better with their potential clients and
business partners. Moreover, people in search of jobs use the sites to connect better
with employers and firms. This gives them a great opportunity to seek better jobs.
On the other hand, the disadvantages of social networking sites are also very high.
They give birth to cyber crimes like cyberbullying, sexual exploitation and money
scams. It is very harmful to kids as people make them victims of pornography and
more. It also gives easy access to the pedophiles of children’s information.
Most importantly, social networking sites are very addictive. They drop the productivity
levels of people. Students waste their time using it and get distracted easily from their
studies. Moreover, it makes them inactive and limits their physical activities.
