    Pengertian Passive Voice

     
                    Dalam bahasa Inggris, Passive voice is a type of sentence or clause in which the subject
    receives the action of the verb.  Atau lebih singkatnya, Passive Voice adalah jenis kalimat atau klausa
    di mana subjek menerima tindakan dari kata kerja atau dikenakan pekerjaan.

    Rumus Passive Voice


      
       Sama seperti tenses pada umumnya, Passive Voice juga menggunakan rumus untuk menyusunnya.
    Rumus yang digunakan adalah sebagai berikut.

    S + be + past participle + By agent


    Keterangan :
    S : subject
    Be : auxiliary verb/to be (am, is, are, was, were, etc.)
    Past participle : verb 3 (kata kerja bentuk ketiga)
    By agent : pelaku dari tindakan

                    FYI, dalam passive voice, auxiliary verbs yang digunakan menentukan jenis tense yang
    digunakan pada kalimat tersebut. Misalnya :
    ·         Apabila menggunakan am, is, are, maka kalimat tersebut Present Tense.
    ·         Apabila menggunakan was, were, maka kalimat tersebut Past Tense.

    Contoh Kalimat Passive Voice

    Simple Present She feeds  the parrot. The parrot is fed by her.

    Simple Past Someone stole his money. His money was stolen by
    someone.

    Simple Future He will write an article. An article will be written by him.

    Past Perfect Continous Her mother had been buying a A novel had been being bought
    novel. by her mother.

    Past Perfect He had bought a hat. A hat had been bought by him.

    Future Perfect He will have fed his dog. His dog had been fed by him.

    Future Perfect Continous He will have been buying an An apple will have been being
    apple. bought by him.

    Present Continous He is buying a novel. A novel is being bought by him.

    Present Perfect He has bought a novel. A novel has been bought by him.
    Present Perfect Continous He has been buying a novel. A novel has been being bought
    by him.

    Past Continous He was buying a novel. A novel was being bought by


    him.

    Future Continous He will be buying a novel. A novel will be being bought by


    him.

    Rumus Passive Voice


    Untuk membentuk kalimat pasif, rumus sederhana berikut biasanya digunakan tetapi tetap harus
    disesuaikan dengan tense kalimat.

    Subject + to be (am/is/are) + past participle (pp)

    Simple Present am/is/are + pp is created
    Present Continuous am/is/are being + pp is being created
    Simple Past was/were + pp was created
    Past Continuous was/were being + pp was being created
    Present Perfect has/have been + pp has been created
    Past Perfect had been + pp had been created
    Simple Future will be + pp will be created
    Future Continuous am/is/are going to be + pp is going to be created
    Future Perfect will have been + pp will have been created
