Best Practices when using technology
1. Model and enforce technology procedures
a. How to turn on and off device
b. Where to store device or how to get the device from where it is located.
c. Correct way to use the device
d. How to ask for help when using the device
2. Show students how to complete task
a. Demonstrate the activity you are wanting the students to do on your own computer/projector
while the students have their device in front of them. This will allow the students to see what
they are supposed to do and helps the teacher troubleshoot any possible issues.
3. Make students login/passwords cards
a. Students can use their login/passwords cards to keep track of how to sign into computer or
websites.
4. Bookmark frequently used websites
a. This will help students and the teacher- making sure everyone is on the correct site and the
teacher does not have to type the web address on each device.
