Write a short story about an event that changed your life. It can be a big event Useful language
or a small event that changed the way you think, or influenced a big decision you Useful vocabulary

Use the Useful language and the notes you made in the Engage task to help you

Tip A narrative is neutral in style. It should contain language which engages the reader • until / till

Follow this structure:
• Introduction: Catch the reader’s attention and explain the main message.
• Background: Give some history or details about the event.
• Start of the event: Explain how things started to happen and how it felt.
• The main event: Describe the peak of the events and what it was like.
• Resolution of the event: Describe how things ended and sum up the event’s effects.
Check it! Read your narrative and check it’s organized clearly and makes sense. Then
read it again and check for grammar, vocabulary and spelling errors.
