The key takeaways are that this course provides a 14-day guide to help students study for 1 hour per day to earn their Remote Pilot certificate. It covers topics like regulations, airport operations, aeronautical decision making, and physiological factors.

The main steps to becoming a commercial drone pilot outlined in this course are to study for 1 hour per day following the provided schedule and instructions over 14 days. This includes watching videos, completing quizzes and downloading study materials. The goal is to be prepared to pass the Remote Pilot exam.

Some of the main responsibilities of a remote pilot in command outlined in this course include following all FAA regulations, maintaining visual line of sight of the drone, yielding right of way to manned aircraft, and not operating a drone in a careless or reckless manner so as to endanger life or property.

Use the quizzes to check your knowledge

I always tell my university students that quizzes and homework are to be used as an evaluation
tool. This is not a test. Your grade on the quiz is an indication of how much knowledge you
have of the topic. If you do not score well on the quiz, go back and study the videos in more
depth. Ask questions if you still don’t get it. We’re here to help you succeed. You should get at
least 80% on the quizzes before moving to the next section. 90% would be even better.

Using the Cheat Sheet

By now you have completed half the course, congrats! You already downloaded the Cheat
Sheet on Day 1 but if you haven’t used it yet, now is a good time. The 11-page document was
designed to help you memorize some of the important items for the course. Note that the list
is not exhaustive! Use it as an aid during your studies but remember you won’t be able to bring
it with you during the exam. Commit it to memory to increase your chances of success.
