ABSTRACT
Myths or beliefs are obstacles to normal breastfeeding, including the assumption that
colostrum is not good and even dangerous for babies, babies need tea or other fluids before
breastfeeding. Babies do not get enough food or fluids if only given colostrum or breast milk,
some mothers believe that babies need lots of food and fluids for their growth.
This study used a Secondary Research Methodology in the form of a Literature Review
with a Primary Source. The data collection process uses data extraction methods with the PICO
approach (Population, Intervention, Compare, Outcame). Based on the results of this literature
review, it can be improved in the future related to exclusive breastfeeding at home, there is a
downward trend in the first month due to various reasons such as reasons often put forward by
mothers are insufficient breast milk production and children often fussy because of hunger or
thirst. So that mothers prefer to provide food other than breast milk so that the baby is not fussy.
Meanwhile, the mother who lives with the grandmother has given early MP ASI to the baby.
