If you ask me about studying abroad, I’ll definitely choose this variant. Nowadays much more students think,
that our country isn't very suitable place for studying, because of the fact that our education system is very
poor. So that I think, that studying abroad appeals to me the most. But there is a nasty thing. After moving out
students starts to improve average intelligence of other nation, thereby they worsen the situation in the
homeland. This is certainly bad, but studying abroad has many advantages. One of them is that student years
spent abroad gives us more than just a prestigious diploma. It gives us the opportunity to get unforgettable
emotions, a valuable experience and to become a good professional. Also foreign universities help their
students to undergo internships in partner companies all over the world, as well as help with employment after
studying. To obtain a permit to study at a foreign university, you must pass a final exam, which will show your
knowledge. In my opinion, examinations are, at times, good and necessary ways of testing a student's ability to
commit information to memory, to work under pressure and to find out what they know. But there are several
things that make tests the worst way of assessment. One of them is that students can cheat, because they can’t
find out the answer for the question. Also, examinations do not show if someone has truly acquired certain
knowledge and test results depend on the opinion of the individual examiner. It is much better to write a
coursework on some of the topics than writing a test. So that I can say that examination is not the fairest form
of assessment.
Food
Nowadays society begins to monitor their health, especially when choosing what they want to eat. As for me,
healthy diet is important part of everyone’s life. A healthy diet is essential for good health and nutrition. One of
the advantages of following healthy diet is that you can keep yourself as fit as a fiddle. It protects you against
many diseases, such as heart disease, diabetes and cancer. Also, Good nutrition, physical activity and healthy
body weight are essential parts of a person’s overall health and well-being, as well as a good mood etc.
However, it’s too difficult to find time to cook healthy food, therefore people chooses the fastest variant – fast
food. One of the advantages of eating out in fast food restaurants is the cost of meals. It’s much cheaper and
takes less time to cook, than eating healthy food. But It also has a major amount of disadvantages, that’s why
I’ll only tell about a few. One of the disadvantages of eating out in fast food restaurants is that you will put on
weight very fast, because of the fact, that it contains high amount of unlikely nutrities, like sugar, salt, fat and
various types of additives. Also the biggest disadvantage of fast food is adverse effect that it has on our health.
People who eat at fast food restaurants underestimate their calorie intake. As for the food, it will never make
you feel full. The disadvantages of junk food are more important, than its advantages, therefore you need to
find the time to follow a healhy diet to keep your body from diseases.
My future career
My mum once told me one thing: If you want to be a teacher, you need to forget about it, because this job is
torment. After that I know, that all the teachers find their job very difficult. One factor of being teacher is
responsibility, so they need to look after about thirty childs, who behave disgustingly. In addition, teacher need
to give them basic knowledge to enable them to become adults. Also I think, teachers salaries are unfair and
we can’t compare these with loss of energy on it. After these minuses I’ll absolutely say, that I don’t want to be
a teacher. In my opinion, a programmers job would suit me the most. One of the reason of my decision is that I
know all about computers from technical to program components. In addition, programmer nowadays is very
prestigious and demanding job all over the world. This is well-paid and requires little efforts for doing
something. I can add that being programmer allows you a huge space for creativity and also improves your
mind. Oh, and I can tell you a story, in which I earned some money by writing software. When I was fourteen, a
stranger wrote me and asked for help. He wanted to have a website in the international network dedicated to
nature conservation. I had a lot of material from him, therefore I only needed to make a website. I had worked
on this for two weeks and after that I got one hundred bucks. It was the easiest money in my life, that I spent
on birthday present for my mum, which made her very happy. Now I know, that programmer is my destiny.
Generation gap
One of the important problems of all times is a generation gap. Generation gap is a situation in
which older and younger people do not understand each other because
of their different experiences, opinions, habits, and behaviour. Adult's mentality is different from teenager's.
We are the children of two epochs with different views on various subjects. Because of this parents and
children sometimes argue with each other. Some people believe that teenagers today are generally rude, lazy
and ill-behaved. Other people, however, think that teenagers are not so bad. Sometimes people don't
understand teenagers. They don't understand some problems and things which are very important in
teenagers' life, for example the lifestyles, piercing, tattoos, relationship with friends and teachers. Most of the
quarrels between parents and children happen because of children's marks at school and generation gap. We
try to learn better, but if we have a bad mark our parents can shout at us.
