COURSE DESCRIPTION: This course deals with the study of formal and informal
components of the Criminal Justice System of the Philippines. It covers the
respective mandates, processes, and interrelations in the administration of criminal
justice, and the other forms of justice system.

on Evidence, its rules of presentation, admissibility, weight and sufficiency of
evidence including burden of proof and presumptions. It includes the Rules on DNA
Evidence, Rules of Electronic Evidence, Rules on Child Witness Examination, Rights
of Witnesses and other relevant issuance of the Supreme Court or other authority,
and applicable relevant jurisprudence.

type or kinds of clemency. The processes of the grant, revocation, cancellation, or
disqualification of the party concerned as provided in the law, rules, guidelines or
manual.
