Band Make-up Assignment:

Biographical sketch of a composer


Choose from any of the listed composers below. Write a biography of your chosen
composer. Your paper must be over 1 page ( FRONT AND BACK-no double
spacing) , handwritten and legible. This will count as credit for 1 missed SM
assingment.
Your paper must provide the following information about your composer:
• When and where the person was born and died.
• Where they spent most of their life.
• What era of music does the composer come from (classical, romantic,
baroque, renaissance, modern, etc…)
• Names of their most influential works, and a brief description of each work.
You must list and describe at least 5 works of music.
• What composers influences them and why. What composers they
influenced and why.
• At least 3 interesting stories or facts about their lives.
