Introduction

Introducing myself, I am Anjila Shrestha an applicant for an Australian student visa. Here I
attempted to put a little insight into my academic. I am a permanent resident of Dordi (Lamjung
district) ward no. 7 holding passport no. 11508627. I’m presenting this statement to express my
views and thoughts of my past, present and future steps of my academic background and
career in the hope of pursuing advanced studies in your esteemed college. I have designed to
gain knowledge and innovate it throughout my life in today’s world ,nothing is impossible so I
decided to study diploma of accounting leading to advanced diploma of accounting with
international degree. I believe it will be the path for successful career in education field.
Accounting is a subject of great importance for career goal and self-esteem. Moreover I have
come to conclusion that studying at your ETEA will definitely enable me to success after having
been through many hardships in my life.

Family background
I have five members in my family including me ,my great grandfather(Mr.Bodha lal Shrestha),
father( Mr. Yogendra lal Shrestha), mother( Mrs. Pashupati Shrestha) and my great
grandmother(Mrs. Sushila Shrestha). We are running family business.

Academic qualification
Talking about my academic background, I have completed my SEE from ST.Mary’s High School
in the year 2017 A.D securing GPA 3.25. I then joined Everest innovative college, Soltimode
Nepal for my intermediate level (+2) in management stream and completed it in 2019 AD
securing GPA 2.86. My drive has enabled my teachers to let me take part in various
competitions in different fields where I often ended up in prize-winning places. I am also very
interested in teamwork and therefore have participated in organizing school events and
supporting friends and classmates as well. I feel these activities will be the way through which I
can make a difference and gain the leadership skills necessary to reach my goal.

Besides that, I was interested to study in English speaking country and so I gave IELTS exam on
16th Jan 2020 securing overall band score 5.5 (listening: 6, speaking: 5, writing: 5.5,reading: 5).

Why not Nepal?

Definitely it is better to gain knowledge in our own country. However, there are limited colleges
in Nepal that provides similar courses like King’s college and various other accounting based
college. These colleges are private college that have high fee structures and based on
theoretical education. With the consultation to seniors I came to a conclusion and was drawn to
international degree due to the fact that I am intending to pursue Diploma in accounting to
improve my knowledge and skills from my professional growth in this field. Another reason is to
acquire the internationally equivalent degree. I am looking forward to secure my position in
business with professional education and for this I need to acquire skills with both theoretical
and practical approach. Thus, I have decided to study abroad which will equip me the
managerial, leadership analytical and decision making as well as professional skills. I am
confident that with the international degree, skills and experience I can establish my own
company in my own country. Accounting is a great subject in which I can study various subjects
that enhances my knowledge to be successful business person in the coming future. The people
who are very much attentive to study Nepal feels can do anything and there is business
everywhere. I am excited to learn things, gain skills and education in Australia and to contribute
my country after returning back to my homeland as a qualified Accountant.

WHY AUSTRALIA?

Australia is the 4th happiest country in the world which is considered as one of the safest and
vibrant country. Australia is the 3rd destination for international students in the world because
of friendly natives, cultural diversity and high quality of education. There are various reasons
that force me not to choose any other above mentioned countries like extreme climatic
conditions, expensive living cost and universities, security issues, political problems etc.
Australia has ESOS Act which deals about the rights of international students. It has Tuition
Protection Service TPS also which protects the tuition fees if college is unable to provide the
course. Such good facilities are not available in other countries i.e. UK & USA. Also,
Australia is a very safe country and crime rate is low where USA has higher crime rate.
Australian degree is globally recognized and it is multicultural country where I can exchange the
culture with so many other students and know the different ideas. USA also requires SAT and
ACT examination for the admission where Australia does not require the same. While
comparing with other countries i.e. Germany, Austria and Japan I found that these countries
also require additional language for the admission. Australia also has the affordable living cost
and tuition fees where I can choose course from VET level to Higher education level. Therefore,
consulting with peers and seniors and checking course contents thoroughly, I am convinced
that Australia is a better option as it has developed a first-rate education system with high
standard and global recognition. Australian culture is more diverse and vibrant which is
considered as a peaceful, safe and orderly country. Being a country of immigrants from all over
the world, different perspectives are respected and learning together is encouraged. Tuition
fees and living expenses are also in favor of Australia when compared to other countries with
equally good educating system. As far as I know, since teaching, English language is an integral
part of Australian Education, I will be able to improve my fluency and capacity for language as I
further my studies. Similarly, Australian education system is more focused on practical
knowledge, is globally accepted and is modernized with the changeable technology.
WHY SYDNEY?
Sydney is my prime concern to complete my further education because due to the fact that
studying in Sydney opens new horizons for everyone who chooses it for studies. The primary
reason behind it is that this city, a multicultural hub of creativity and invention that provides
students with forward-thinking educational providers and world leading research facilities, all in
a sub-tropical climate ideal for an outdoor lifestyle. Safety and education are the most
important factor in categorization and providing with access to exciting job opportunities with
some of the world most well-known organizations. With huge variety of attraction students can
explore its many historic sites, mining and resources, scientific innovation creative industries,
tourism infrastructure, food and beverage, higher education logistics and distribution and
aviation. It is one of the cities where life is culturally rich and exciting. Apart from the sunshine,
food culture and relaxed lifestyle that everybody enjoys, Sydney has been rated as one of the
top student cities in the world. That’s why it takes pride as one of the top destination for
international students. Sydney has the most good colleges and universities as compared to
other cities. Moreover, Sydney comprises internationally recognized courses, better technology,
lovely weather, diversity of education, modern facilities, and cultural diversity and also
development of public transportation is the most interesting facts that influences international
study to Sydney.

WHY EDUCATION TRAINING and EMPLOYMENT AUSTRALIA (ETEA)?

Searching and choosing suitable college for my further education was a really difficult task for
me. By my extensive online research and consultation with experts for education provider for

I could do something to develop my country which can be easy studying at ETEA.

Why Diploma of Accounting leading to advanced diploma of accounting?

Well, the course that I have intended to head for my future career has a key to explore
my knowledge in various foundations as a professional in related field like industrial sectors,
government and commerce and profit sectors. This qualification will be helpful to keep
me updated with a new and upcoming trends and ideas to enhance my leadership quality or set
of my own business when I am back to my hometown. As I have anticipated enrolling myself
in business accounting I can assure you that after having an international degree on my hand I
will be liable to explore myself to the broad spectrum to these optional strands to hold my
name in the world of technology related competence. There are countless opportunities that I
am going to grab when I will be handed international degree in technology sector. Today’s
accountant is a key personal of management teams in non-profit, public, government, and
private organizations. Accounting is really the language business speaks. Business
communicates in dollars and sense and accountants are an integral part of that communication.
Accounting offers many career opportunities. Business valuations such as – Mergers And
Acquisitions, Forensic Accounting, Evaluation Of Corporate Control Systems, Public Accounting,
Management Accounting, Tax Preparation, And Internal Auditing are just a few career options
you have available once you become an accountant.

My future Plans
I understand that studying in abroad is going to be the most challenging step in my life so far,
but I also believe that I can withstand any problems I may face and make most of the
knowledge and experience gained through this study program. In general, my first focus will be
completing my diploma degree in accounting leading to advanced diploma of accounting. After
graduation I will return back to my home country Nepal and work in my course related field.
Achieving Australian qualifications, I vision myself contributing in further development in the
business sector of Nepal. And so, I will return back to my home country, Nepal.
I will be faultlessly qualified to work with the various companies for the development of nation.
I will have the academic qualifications and skills will enable me to work in corporate
environments and small to medium enterprises, as well as in government and not-for-profit
organizations; like Chaudhary group, Surya Groups, Khetan Group, Sharda Group, Vaidyas
organization of Industries and Trading Houses, Jyoti Group of Companies, Hulas steel industries,
Hulas motors, IMS group Nepal as Research Assistant, Business Analyst, Business Strategist,
Strategy Consultant, Business Development Consultant, Financial Analyst, Account Executive
etc. I will be able to easily earn a handsome salary starting from NRs. 55,000-70000 with the
international degree and skill. After working for some years in these companies and gaining
enough experience as an accounting entrepreneur I plan to start my own business. Likewise, I
can also apply through online websites such as; ramrojob.com, jobsnepal.com, kumarijobs.com,
kantipurjobs.com, jagire.com and many others for the job. In Nepal, I will work hard and engage
myself in the service of providing Information about the products that can be easily produced at
home for the people living in rural area who are not getting proper knowledge. I trust that the
knowledge and skills I grasped from will benefited the economic growth in my country Nepal.
The mention organizations have a great value for the international graduates which will recover
my study investment within some years. I am confident that I will get the competitive job here
in Nepal with the Australian qualification. Even though I may be eligible for some reputed
international companies after qualifying from Australia I would still prefer to work in Nepal as I
have my whole family here in Nepal, I am strongly connected with Nepalese society, culture
and it will be easier for me to work in Nepal.

INCENTIVES TO RETURN MY HOME COUNTRY NEPAL

There is no doubt that the technology and implementation approach of Australia is for superior
to that in Nepal. But there is a huge potential growth of this field in Nepal as well. I am to
capitalize on this potential by gathering the knowledge and experiences from my education as a
student in Australia and materialize experience to aid in the growth of my country. To achieve
this, I plan on returning back to my home country after the completion of my tenure with this
institution. All of my family members and close friends live in Nepal and I prefer not to stay
away from them for long. After the completion of the course, I plan on resuming my
responsibilities as a daughter actively involving with my families back home. I believe that will
be capable of achieving these feats by concentrating my efforts as a professional and
implementing the ideas and strategies in Nepal. It is only logical and financially viable to
establish myself as expert in my own country. Moreover, as stated in my property valuation my
family property works nearly about 2.00crore and I should also look after it which is not
possible for me to watch if I stay there in Australia. So after completion of accounting course, I
plan to return back to Nepal and look after my parents and their property.
VISA OBLIGATION UNDER VISA SUBCLASS 500:
I am very much aware regarding Higher Education Visa subclass 500 and its conditions. I am
clear on the facts about the tuition fees; living expenses and work permit for international
students.

1. I must maintain at least 80% attendance.

2. I must maintain 50% pass grade throughout the study program.

3. I cannot work more than 40 hours per fortnight.

4. I have to maintain overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC) for the duration of student visa.

5. I must notify the education provider/DIBP in writing within 7 days of arrival in Australia
about residential address and/or any change to that address in Australia.

Conclusion
Finally, I would like to say that my intentions heading towards Australia are genuine. My only
motto is to obtain the globally accepted degree. Given an opportunity to study in your
prestigious institute, I will prove myself to be an inevitable component of the project with
diligent hard work and progressive result. Also I would like to assure the institute that my sole
purpose of going to Australia is for my higher studies. I am well equipped with the knowledge of
obligations of a student under Higher Education Visa Subclass 500 such as acceptance onto a
higher education course at Australian University or Educational Institution and Economic
Confirmation of Enrollment Code, Confirmation of Enrollment letter or letter of Offer .i have
sent my required academic documents and provide all genuine information which might help
you in making your positive assessment for my further study in Australia. At the end, I am
known about the difficulties in living away from home and I am ready for all the challenges.
