KLAROL - Technology.
Klarol is an oil cleaning device which is capable of removing solid contamination, water, air & gases and lower
oxidized molecules of oil from all lubricating oils. It is a product designed and developed in Germany and field
tested in India on a variety of applications. Klarol has been extensively tested by one of the premier institutes of
the world, the Indian Institute of Petroleum, Dehradun for increasing oil life.
KLAROL® - Why should we use it.

KLAROL® — How does it tackle oxidation and thermal degradation of oil.

Initial by products of oxidation, like metal salts & water catalyse the process of oxidation making it a chain
reaction. Oxidized lower molecular weight products are initially soluble in oil. Over a period of time they
polymerise into heavy molecular weight products which turn into sludge, varnish and lacquer thereby causing
malfunctioning of the machine. Klarol has the capability of removing all solid by products of oxidation. It is also
capable of removing water and the oxidised lower molecular weight products of the oil. By removing these
contaminants as soon as they are formed Klarol ensures that the process of oxidation is minimised and the chain
reaction is broken. Removal of the lower molecular weight products, ensures that there is no formation of sludge,
varnish and lacquer.
One of the primary reasons for thermal degradation of oil is aeration or free air in the oil. Compressing an air
bubble from ambient pressure to 3,000 psi increases the bubble's temperature to more than 1100 degrees
centigrade. The temperature of the air bubble causes the layer of oil around the bubble to burn into carbon or soot.
Klarol prevents oil from getting thermally degraded by releasing free air from oil.
Klarol is different from other oil filtration machines 11 It not only removes but also prevents generation of
contamination.
KLAROL® — How does it super-clean oil.

Klarol cleans oil in two stages using three different methods.

With motor-pump.
Critical power-packs with a number of proportional
valves, servo valves or variable pumps need super-
clean oil at all times. A dedicated oil cleaning system
attached permanently on the oil tank is the preferred
way to clean oil. The photograph on the right hand side
shows two Klarol units with a pump/motor for direct
and permanent installation on an oil tank with up to 500
liters of oil. For higher oil tank capacities four, six or
eight Klarol purifiers should be used in parallel.
Directly attached to the machine

Klarol can be installed permanently on a machine
without any suction pump. Taking oil pressure
directly from the machine has many advantages. A
pressure reducing valve & relief valve combination is
used to reduce the pressure of oil inlet to Klarol.
Klarol works as a by-pass oil cleaning unit. The
measured quantum of oil taken ensures that there is no
drop in the machine oil pressure. Right hand side

As a mobile machine.
Klarol mobile oil cleaning machines can be attached directly to the parent machine oil tank. Suction pump is
provided to take out the dirty oil. Purified oil is returned back to the machine. Oil can be cleaned while your
machine is in operation. Mobile machines can be shifted from one machine oil tank to the other to clean a number
of oil tanks.
