INSTALLATION TUTORIAL

1. Change Screen Resolution of Windows 7


to 1280 x 720 pixels (HD resolution).

2. Download the file RAID.CA.rar to the Root of Drive C:


( If you have downloaded it somewhere else, please move the RAR file to C:\RAID.CA.rar )

If you have WinRAR installed, make a right click on the RAR file and choose “Extract here...”
( If you don’t have WinRAR, you can download and install it. It’s free. )

When done, a folder named RAID.CA will be created on drive C:, containing all the files needed.

3. Install Logitech Webcam Driver.

Inside C:\RAID.CA folder you will find a subfolder called “_ LOGITECH WEBCAM DRIVER” and
inside that folder, a file called lws251.exe.

Make double click on lws251.exe


to run the Webcam Driver installer.

If a Security Warning shows up,


click “Run”.

3. Logitech Webcam Software Installation steps:

Choose English as preferred language. Click Next.

Logitech Motion Detection software can be unchecked. Click Next. Wait while the software is being installed.

When installation is done, click on the “Check out my webcam” button. Installation Software closes and Logitech Webcam Software opens.

4. Configuring Webcam: Exposure, Gain and other Settings.

Following these steps we will set up the webcam in a way


that it won’t be able to see almost anything, except the glow
Uncheck Auto-focus.

Click on Advanced Settings >

Click on Webcam Controller icon

Click on > Webcam options

Uncheck RightLight
Move Exposure slider to the left

After saving, click Done on the Webcam Controller and close Logitech Webcam Software window.

5. Creating the Flash Local Settings file and location.

Go to C:\RAID.CA and double click RAID.exe to run the game.


We will run it briefly and get into the Control Panel so that it creates the settings file we will replace later.

After the intro, when the game starts, press M to see the mouse cursor and then C to open the Control Panel.
Click on START MOSQUITOES EDITION. Click on any mosquito’s area, change any value on MOSQUITO CONFIG
box and click its own SAVE button. Click on END MOSQUITOES EDITION. Click on SAVE GENERAL SETTINGS.
Press C to close Control Panel and Alt+F4 to QUIT the Application.

You can come back later to the Control Panel, when the settings file is already replaced, and modify any of the
mosquitoes values, as well as the scope size, scope snapping and min and max velocity of mosquitoes.

6. Copying RAID.sol file into Flash Local Settings location.

After completion of Step 5, a file named RAID.sol is created inside a folder located in:

C:\Users\USER_NAME\AppData\Roaming\Macromedia\Flash Player\#SharedObjects\XXXXXXXX\
localhost\RAID.CA\RAID.exe\raid.sol

Open a Windows Explorer window and browse to that location:

ATTENTION: you may need to configure Explorer to Show Hidden files, folders and drives.

Now, open a second Windows Explorer side-by-side, go to C:\RAID.CA\_ SETTINGS copy


raid.sol file to C:\Users\ ... \localhost\RAID.CA\RAID.exe\raid.sol and accept overwrite.

When done, you can close both Explorer windows.

7. Configuring Windows 7 Autorun

Copy the shortcut RAID_START.lnk from C:\RAID.CA\_ START MENU - STARTUP\ to


START MENU \ Startup folder. The application will run automatically every time Windows starts.

8. Reboot and test AUTORUN

Close any window left open and then go to START MENU and click Restart.
After booting up and loading Windows 7 x64, Autorun will begin launching applications.
You just have to wait. No mouse clicks, no nothing and the game will begin in focus and fullscreen.

9. To QUIT, just press Alt + F4 at any moment during the game or the video-loop.

AUTORUN file has also a SHUT DOWN SEQUENCE programmed that turns off the computer
automatically 30 seconds after quitting the game.

If for any reason, after doing all these steps you need to access the computer, you should then
interrupt the AUTORUN. The easiest way is to do it while the first Timeout is running:
click on the DOS window and press Ctrl+C, then press Y and Enter and you will interrupt
the loading of applications.

CCV. Configuring CCV Tracker (Community Core Vision)


NOT A NECESSARY STEP! DO ONLY IF NEEDED!

CCV is automatically loaded in mini-mode while


RAID game is running. You can switch to this window
using Alt+Tab hotkey to check how the control is tracked.
CCV mini-mode
To switch CCV to normal-mode, press the Space-Bar once.

Then, carefully, you can compare the values of every


parameter against the screen capture you can find in:
C:\RAID.CA\CCV-HSV\CCV-SETTINGS-BLUE-TRACKING.PNG

When done, go back to mini-mode using the Space-Bar key


and back to the game using Alt+Tab hotkey.
