    (b) ‘Ethics in research is the need of the hour’ justify the statement.
    3. (a) What is time series? Explain different components of time series.
    (b) What is Spectral analysis? Explain applications of Spectral analysis.
    4. (a) What do you mean by Tabulation of data? Explain different parts of a statistical
    table.
    (b) Describe briefly the guiding principle for the graphic presentation of the data.
    5. (a) Explain (i) SPSS (ii) GRETL.
    (b) Explain role of computer in research.
    6. (a) Explain the significance of a research report and narrate the various steps
    involved in writing such a report.
    (b) Describe, in brief, the layout of a research report, covering all relevant points.
    7. (a) Mention the different types of report, particularly pointing out the difference
    between a technical report and a popular report.
    (b) Explain Genetic Algorithm.

    8. Obtain the equations of the two lines of regressions for the following data:

    Y: 29 31 19 18 19 27 27 29 41 30 26 10
    Hence obtain the value of the correlation coefficient between X and Y.
