INTRODUCTION (Audio 1)

English:
Welcome to the Army School of Languages and Dialects preparatory CAEC course. In
this course, we’ll go over the basic terminology, vocabulary and grammar needed to
successfully complete the Basic and Intermediate English course.
You’ll hear two basic instructions on the audios. These instructions are:

 Listen

 Repeat
You can choose to keep listening for the Spanish version, or skip this audio to begin.
Spanish:
Bienvenido al preparatorio CAEC de la Escuela de Idiomas y Dialectos del Ejército.
En este curso repasaremos la terminología, vocabulario y gramática básica necesaria para
llevar a cabo satisfactoriamente los cursos Básico e Intermedio de Inglés.
Escuchará dos instrucciones básicas en los audios. Estas son:

 A pronoun is a word that can replace a noun. Pronouns refer specifically to people that are
being talked about.
Un pronombre es una palabra que puede reemplazar a un sustantivo. Los
pronombres se refieren específicamente a gente de la cual se habla.

Angela is a

She’s a pilot.

 A pronoun can be changed for a noun, and viceversa.


Un pronombre se puede cambiar por un sustantivo, y viceversa.
