    100 – 200 AMP Capacities, 120/240-Volt Single-Phase www.glps.net
    Revised May 28, 2002.
    A. ATTACHMENT: The customer must provide point
    of attachment at the top of the pole. Either an
    eyebolt or a J-hook is acceptable and must be
    within the top 6 inches of the pole (16 feet above
    ground).
    B. WEATHERHEAD: The weather head must be
    within the top 2 feet of the pole and have at least
    A 18 inches of wire extending through the
    weatherhead for GLPS to connect to.
    C. CONDUIT: PVC conduit is acceptable for the
    weather head. Size is based on amperage of the
    4' if GLPS service B

    E. ROOF CROSSING: Pole must be of sufficient
    height to provide 4’ of clearance over any part of
    the roof that GLPS conductors must cross. 16’ is
    still the minimum pole height.
    F. GROUND CLAMP: The ground clamp used should
    be a teardrop, single bolt style and NOT the 2-bolt
    water pipe style clamp.
    G. GROUND ROD: The ground rod should be 8 feet
    in length and at least 5/8 inch round. The entire rod
    D should be driven into the ground with the ground
    BREAKER
    wire attached at the top. Ground wire must be no
    PANEL less than #6 bare copper.
    H. BREAKER PANEL: The size of the disconnect
    H outside on pole must match size of panel pre-
    installed inside the mobile home. This panel must
    be connected to the outside disconnect box by
    conductors within a conduit raceway. For
    assistance in connecting breaker panel, please
    refer to GLPS Mobile Home Schematic Diagram.

    GROUND LINE CLEARANCE: The pole must be able to provide the
    following clearances:
    • Roads 18’
    • Driveways 16’
    • Open Ground 16’
    4' POLE:
    • MINIMUM of 20 feet overall length
    • MINIMUM 4 feet in the ground
    • MINIMUM 6” x 6” square treated pole, or
    8' 6” round pole.
