–Originaly meant “whole-th”
or wholeness
–it is multifaceted,
dynamic quality that
describe how well a
person able to function

between health and wellness?
WELLNESS
- Is a term referring to optimal
health which includes and
enjoyable and productive
approach to lifestyle that
promotes a high level of well-being
INTELLECTUAL HEALTH
–An intellectually
healthy individual
believe in a lifelong
learning and that they
make sound judgments
and decisions
–To maintain a sound
mind, one has to keep the
mind active and curious,
acquire and evaluate
information and make
decisions about different
issues
–No person has the
total control over
their emotional
states (fear, anger,
sadness, guilt)
–Emotionally healthy
individual strive to
maintain
psychological balance
and know when to
express their emotion
– it includes understanding
one’s emotion
–Knowing how to cope with
everyday problems
–Turning those problems into
productive activities which
generate and enjoyment
