PROSPECTUS FOR ADMISSION INTO B.Sc. NURSING 4YDC COURSE FOR 2020- 2021

1. REGULATIONS:

The following are the regulations for admission of students into B.Sc., Nursing
4YDC Course in affiliated colleges of KNR University of Health Sciences,
Telangana, for 2020- 2021

b. Candidates shall apply for the colleges affiliated to KNR University of Health
Sciences in the state of Telangana. The online application will be available
on the website https://tsparamed.tsche.in from 10.00A.M. on 18-01-2021 to
27-01-2021 upto 7.00 p.m.

Note: The candidates are advised to take a print out of the


prospectus/instructions to fill the application form from the website
www.knruhs.telangana.gov.in before proceeding to fill the application
form

2. Eligibility (As per the G.O.Rt.No.1095, HM & FW Dept., dated 02.09.2013)

a. The candidates should be of Indian Nationality or persons of Indian origin


(P.I.O) / Overseas citizen of India (OCI) card holders and should satisfy
the local or non-local status in Andhra Pradesh (Residence requirement)
as laid down in Andhra Pradesh educational institutions (Regulations of
admissions) order, 1974 and the selection will be done as per the
procedure laid down in the G.O.P.No.646, dated 10-07-1979 as
amended in G.O.Ms.No.42, Higher Education (EC2), dated 18-05-2009.

3. EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Candidates seeking admission into B.Sc., (Nursing) 4 YDC Course should
have passed

2 years Intermediate Examination (10 + 2 pattern) with 45% aggregate


of marks in Science (Biology, Physics, Chemistry) and English is
compulsory subject in 10+2.
or

Any other examination of (10 + 2 pattern) from recognized Board under


AISSCE/CBSE/ICSE/SSCE/HSCE/NIOS/TOSS of other equivalent Board
with Biology, Physics and Chemistry recognized as equivalent by Board
of Intermediate Education, Telangana state.
or
Intermediate (10+2) Vocational with Bridge course with Biology and Physical
Sciences

c. Those who belong to SC/ST and BC categories are eligible with 40%
aggregate marks in the science group subjects ( Biology and Physical
Sciences) as per the norms of the Indian Nursing Councils, New Delhi
vide letter No.F.No.1-2/2014-INC and vide circular No.F.No.1-6/2016 -
INC Dated: 21-09-2016.

Note: Candidates possessing qualification of the University / Board or an


institution outside the State should produce a certificate of equivalence
from the Board of Intermediate Education of Telangana, Hyderabad to
the effect that the qualification possessed is equivalent to or higher than
Intermediate examination conducted by the Board of Intermediate
Education of Telangana of BPC group.

4. AGE: Candidates should have completed the age of 17 years as on 31 st


December 2020

Note: Age shall be calculated on the basis of date of birth as indicated in the
Secondary School Certificate examination or equivalent examination.

No request for relaxation of age of a candidate shall be entertained.

Candidates born on or after 02-01-2004 are not eligible

e. Student shall be medically fit.


5. PAYMENT OF REGISTRATION FEE by Credit card / Debit card / Net
banking. Candidates can make payment through Visa/Master Credit Cards
(Not International credit / Debit Cards / Net banking issued by any bank.
This facility is provided through the payment gateway. Please read the
following carefully. If Candidates agree, please click on the I agree and pay
now button below.
Amount to be paid to KNR UHS: Rs.2000/- for OC/BC candidates &
Rs.1600/- for SC/ST candidates.
Candidates will then be directed to the payment gateway server wherein the
transactions are done securely by the payment gateway.
Once the payment is authorized, Candidates will be automatically redirected
back to KNR UHS Registration server where Candidates can take printout of
the application form with the receipt.
KNRUHS Server does not collect any information on Candidate's credit card
details such as credit card number, expiry date etc.

If the payment is successful and the amount is received by KN RUHS, when


Candidates login to KNRUHS B.Sc. Nursing Registration website next time,
Candidates will be taken to the print page wherein Candidates can print the
application form along with the payment receipt.
During the payment process, if the link fails or Candidates receives any error
message, Candidates are advised to re login with Candidate's personal
details and Registration number at K N R UHS B.Sc. Nursing Registration site
and check.
If the money is not received by KNR UHS, Candidates will be taken to the
page wherein Candidates have to select the payment method and continue
once again.
If the payment is already received; Candidates will be permitted to take
printout of Candidates application form. Please note that once Candidates
proceed,
Candidates are deemed to have understood and agreed to the process detailed
above.

In view of COVID-19, the process of application and certificate verification has been changed. The
following Certificates are required to complete the application process. The certificates are to be
scanned and kept ready to upload. Application fee has to be paid through online.

Open the website https://tsparamed.tsche.in Home page displayed as follows.


1. Click on the Mobile and Email Registration. The candidate should have a valid /working Mobile and Email Id.
OTP will be sent to registered Mobile and Email Id at different stages. The candidate should keep the Mobile
and Email Id active till completions of the counselling process. The candidate has to enter OTP’s received to
mobile and Email Id for registration and Verification of Mobile and Email Id.

2. After entering the details click on validate button.


3. If all the details entered are correct and verified with OTP’s your system will display a successful message
and proceed to registration form
4. Registration Form appears in which Candidate has to give the details.

5. After entering the details click on validate button it will take you to the Payment Gate way for payment fee.
6. If all the details entered are correct your system will display payment reference number Button to
proceed for payment. Depending on your caste category the Registration fee is varied. Once paid you will
not get any refund. Hence, you are requested to double check the eligibility conditions mentioned in
the Prospectus yourself and pay the fee.

7. Now you will be directed to the Payment Gateway, Click OK


8. Select mode of payment
9. After payment you will receive a Successful Payment message on the screen and you will receive the
Registration number to your mobile. Please note down the registration number for
further correspondence

10. For updating the details of the candidate enter Roll Number and the Registration number sent to
your mobile and click on validate button to enter into the Application form.
11. The application form will be displayed as shown below. You have to fill the details and upload Passport
Size Photo and Signature(Note: Scanned photo and Signature should be less than 100 KB and in
JPEG or JPG format)
Note: Number of Subjects to be entered against course and Intermediate Board

b. Other State Boards --- 4 Subjects are mandatory
c. CBSE/ICSE/NIOS/AISSCE/SSCE/HSCE/APOSS/TOSS --- 3 Subjects are Mandatory

e. Inter Vocational (Medical Lab Technology) --- 6 Subjects are mandatory

g. Diploma in Physiotherapy --- 6 Subjects are mandatory

12. After filling the form, click on Save


and Exit Button. This process can be repeated till all the
data you entered are correct using Data Updation link on the Home page. Then click on Upload
Certificates Button to proceed for document attachments.
13. After uploading all the required certificates, Click on Save and Print, You will get your filled in
application form, take printout of this form for further assistance. If you click on Print Application
button you will get earlier saved data.

Do's and Don'ts


Do not use mobiles, tabs & Ipads. Use Desk tops Computers or Laptops with Internet
Explorer.
Do not select or enter false information which can be liable for Criminal Action.
Avoid using slow internet facility.
Keep your mobile with you while applying and do not block SMS.

Sample Certificates through which certificate numbers are to be entered in the application
NOTE:

i. The admissions into the colleges are subject to affiliation by University


for the academic year 2020- 2021 and permission from Indian Nursing
Council.

ii. Distribution of seats among various categories for admission in the


above colleges (seat matrix) will be displayed at the time of counseling.

iii. In case of any new college(s) are affiliated to the University before the
date of counseling, the seats in those colleges also will be filled- up. No
further notification will be issued.

iv. The names of the colleges with number of seats that are
affiliated will be displayed at the time of counseling.

6. CATEGORIZATION OFSEATS:

As per G.O.Ms.NO.330, HM&FW (K1) Department, dt.11-11-2011, in


Private institutions Sixty percent (60%) of the total number of seats shall be
filled as competent authority seats by university.
Forty percent (40%) seats shall be filled as management seats by the
Managements of Private Colleges.
In respect of the Government colleges 100% Nursing seats shall be
Competent authority, will be filled by theUniversity.

7. RESERVATION OF SEATS FOR SCHEDULED CASTES & SCHEDULED TRIBES.

Out of the available seats under Competent Authority Quota for admission
by the University 15% for SCs and 6% for STs shall be reserved. If any seat
reserved for the Scheduled Tribes is not filled up they will be open to the
candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes and Vice- Versa.

If the candidates from Scheduled Castes & Scheduled Tribes are not
available these reserved seats shall be re-allotted to candidates of open
category on the basis of merit.
Candidates from the Scheduled Castes , Scheduled Tribes and Backward
Classes belonging to Telangana State for castes which are notified in the list
as per the Telangana Government orders will be considered against the
reserved seats.

8.RESERVATION FOR BC CANDIDATES:

29% of the seats available for admission by the University, for B.Sc.,
Nursing 4years degree Course shall be reserved for candidates belonging to
Backward Classes and shall be allotted among the five groups of Back Ward
Classes as follows: -
BC-A-7%, BC-B-10%, BC-C-1%, BC-D-7% and BC-E-4% as per
theG.O.Ms.No.1793, Education, dt.23.09.1970 and G.O.Ms.No.23, Backward
Classes Welfare (C2), dated. 07-07-2007 and G.O.Ms.No.231, Health Medical
and Family Welfare (E1) Department, dated.11-07-2009.

Only those Candidates who belongs to these castes of the States of


Telangana which are listed in the Government orders shall be considered
under the respective categories.
If qualified candidates belonging to Backward Classes of a particular group
are not available, the left over seats can be adjusted for the candidates of
next group. If qualified candidates belonging to Back Ward Classes are not
available to fill up the 29% seats reserved for them, the left over seats shall
be treated as Open Competition seats and shall be filled up with candidates
of open competition on the basis ofmerit.
While calculating the number of seats in the Sub-categories if the total
number of seats falls short of or exceeds 29% it shall be limited to 29% by
adding or eliminating the candidates on the basis of merit in the sub- groups
in which the fractions were rounded to nearest figure.
9. CERTIFICATION OF CASTE:
Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe and Backward class candidates shall in
support of their claim, have to furnish permanent caste certificate issued by
the competent authority of Government of Telangana

The social status of the candidates who have applied for the seats reserved
for Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Backward Classes shall be
scrutinized as per the rules notified by the Government of Telangana from
time to time. The decision of the verification officer deputed by the Director /
Commissioner of BC Welfare, SC Welfare and ST Welfare from the
Government of Telangana is final in all respects.
Candidates from the Scheduled Castes , Scheduled Tribes and Backward
Classes belonging to Telangana State for castes which are notified in the
list as per the Telangana Government orders will be considered against
the reserved seats.

10. RESERVATION FOR WOMEN CANDIDATES;


33 1/3% of seats are guaranteed for women candidates in each category i.e.,
Open category, Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribe, Backward Classes Group
A,B,C,D and E. This regulation of guarantee shall not be applicable if women
candidates selected on merit in each category form 33 1/3% or more of the
seats therein. When the number of women candidates falls short of this
percentage, it would be made up by replacing the last selected male candidates
by women candidates in that category.

11. RESERVATION UNDER PWD CATEGORY:


Out of the available seats for admission by the KNR University of Health
Sciences, 5% shall be reserved for the Persons with disabilities (PWD) in each
categories of OC, SC, ST, BC-A, BC-B, BC-C, BC-D and BC-E. As per
Government of India guidelines.

The candidate seeking the benefit of reservation should present him/herself


before a Medical Board constituted by the University comprising of at least
one Expert/Specialist from the specialty of Orthopedics of Medical Board. The
decision of the Medical Board constituted by the University is final. Once the
PWD status is confirmed, merit is to be taken into consideration for allotment
of seat.
12. RESERVATION FOR LOCAL CANDIDATES:
85% of the seats shall be reserved for local candidates and remaining 15%
unreserved seats will be filled by applicants as defined in regulation 12

DEFINITION OF LOCAL AREAS

a) The part of the state comprising the districts of Adilabad, Hyderabad,


(including twin cities), Ranga Reddy, Khammam, Karimnagar, Medak,
Mahaboobnagar, Nalgonda, Nizamabad and Warangal shall be regarded as
the Osmania University Area.

b) The part of the State comprising the districts of Srikakulam, Vizianagaram,


Visakhapatnam, East Godavari, West Godavari, Krishna, Guntur and
Prakasam shall be regarded as Andhra University Area.

c) The part of the State comprising the districts of Anantapur, Kurnool,


Chittoor, Cuddapah and Nellore shall be regarded as Sri Venkateswara
University Area.

NOTE: Candidates defined under 12 b, c are treated as Non-local


candidates.
DEFINITION OF LOCAL CANDIDATES

A candidate for admission shall be regarded as a local candidate in relation


to a local area.

a) If he/she has studied in educational institution or educational


institutions in such local area for a period of not less than four consecutive
academic years ending with the academic year in which he/she appeared or as
the case may be, first appeared in the relevant Qualifying Examination.

b) Where during the whole or any part of the four consecutive academic
years ending with the academic year in which he/she appeared or as the case
may be, first appeared for Intermediate Examination, he/she has not studied
in any educational institution, if has resided in the local area for a period of
not less than four years immediately preceding the date of commencement of
relevant examination in which he/she appeared, or as the case may be, first
appeared then he/she becomes a local candidate.
A candidate for admission to the course who is not regarded as a local
candidate under sub regulation 12. above in relation to any local area shall

a) If he/she has studied in educational institutions in the State for a period


of not less than seven consecutive academic years ending with the academic
year in which he/she appeared or as the case may be, first appeared for the
relevant qualifying examination be regarded as a local candidate in relation
to.
i) such local area where he/she has studied for the maximum period out
of said period of seven years.
ii) where the periods of his/her equal, such local area where periods
study in two or more local areas are he/she has studied last in such
equal.
b) If, during the whole or any part of seven consecutive academic years
ending with the academic year in which he/she appeared or as the case may
be first appeared for the relevant qualifying examination, he/she has not
studied in the educational institutions in any local area, but has resided in the
State during the whole of the said period of seven years, be regarded as local
candidate in relation to

i) such local area where he/she has resided for the maximum period out
of the said period of seven years,
ii) Where the periods of his/her residence in two or more local areas are
equal such local area where he/she has resided last in such equal
periods
Explanation – For purpose of this Sub regulation.
a) “Educational Institution” means a college, a school imparting education upto
and inclusive of tenth class, or other institutions by whatever name called
whether managed by Government, Private body, local authority or
University and carrying on the activity of imparting education there in
whether technical or otherwise and includes a Polytechnic, Industrial training
Institute and a Teachers Training Institute but does not include a
TutorialInstitution.

b) Relevant qualifying examination for admission in to B.Sc., Nursing 4 yea’s


degree course of study means a pass in the examination, which is the
minimum educational qualification for admission to such course ofstudy
Note: The relevant qualifying examination for admission to B.Sc., Nursing
degree course being Intermediate or its equivalent examination, the question
whether candidate is a local candidate or not will be determined with
reference to the first appearance in the Intermediate examination or
equivalent examination even in the case of an applicant is possessing B.Sc or
M.Sc. Degree.
c) a) In reckoning the consecutive academic years during which a candidate has
studied, any period of interruption of his/her study by reason of her failure to
pass any examination, and;

b) Any period of his/her study in a State-wide University or State wide


educational institution shall be disregarded.

d) The question whether any candidate for admission to any course of


Study has resided in any local area shall be determined with reference to the
places where the candidate actually resided and not with reference to the
residence of her parent orguardian.
While determining the number of seats to be reserved in favour of local
candidates under regulation 11.1 any fraction of a seat shall be counted as one

If a local candidate in respect of a local area is not available to fill any seat
reserved or allocated in favour of a local candidate in respect of that local
area, such seat shall be filled in as if it has not beenreserved.
a) Applicants who claim to be local candidates with reference
toregulation.
12.2 (a) shall produce evidence in the form of study certificate/certificates
issued by the Heads of Educational Institution/Institutions
concerned, indicating the details of the year or years in which the
candidate has studied in educational institutions in such local area
for a period of not less than four consecutive academic years ending
with the academic years in which he/she appeared or as the case
may be, first appeared for the Intermediate examination or its
equivalent. Those who do not qualify as local candidates under
subregulation.
11. (a) but claim to qualify by virtue of residence under regulation 11.
(b) shall produce a certificate issued by an officer of the Revenue
Department not below the rank of a Mandal Revenue Officer in the
form annexed in G.O.Ms.No.628 Education, dated the 25th July,
1974, (appended to the application)
b) Applicants who claim to be local Candidates under 11(a) shall

produce evidence in the form of study certificate issued by the heads


of the Educational Institution / Institutions concerned indicating the
details of the year or years in which the candidate has studied in the
respective educational Institutions for a period of not less than seven
consecutive academic years ending with the academic year in which
he/she appeared, or as the case may be first appeared for the
Intermediate Examination or its equivalent. Those who do not
qualify as local candidate under the regulation 12 (a) but claim to
qualify by virtue of residence under regulation 12 (b) shall produce a
certificate of residence issued by an officer of the Revenue
Department not below the rank of Mandal Revenue Officer in the
form similar to that Annexed to G.O.Ms.No.628, Education, dated
25thJuly 1974 with necessary modifications (appended to the
application).

12.3 The following categories of candidates are eligible to apply for


admission to the 15% of Unreserved seats:

All candidates defined under regulation 12 and 12.2

Candidates who have resided in the State for a total period of ten years
excluding period of study outside the State or either of whose parents
have resided in the State for a period of ten years excluding periods of
Employment outside the State (Certificate to the effect from a Revenue
Official not below the rank of Mandal Revenue Officer from where the
candidate is claiming eligibility should be enclosed).

Candidates who are children of parents who are in the employment of


this state or Central Government, Public Sector Corporations, Local
Bodies, Universities and other similar quasi-public Institutions within the
State. (Certificate from the Head of the Institution/Department should be
enclosed).

Candidates who are spouses of those in the employment of this State or


Central Government, Public Sector Corporations, Local Bodies,
University and Educational Institutions recognized by the Government, a
University or other competent authority and similar other quasi
Government institutions within the state. (Certificate from the Head of
Institution/Department should be enclosed).

13. MERIT LIST: Final Merit List will be displayed on the website of
University (http://knruhs.telangana.gov.in).
Verification of Certificates of candidates applied on-line will be
done at the specified help-line centres as per the schedule to be
notified later.
The Final merit list shall be prepared by the Under Graduate Admission
Committee appointed by University subject to these regulations.

The criteria for preparation of merit list (B.Sc. NURSING COURSE)

a) Total Percentage of marks obtained in Botany, Zoology,


Physics, Chemistry in the qualifying examination upto two decimal
places.
b) The candidates who qualify under compartmental system shall be placed
in the merit list after the candidates who passed in a single attempt.
c) In case of equality of marks and aggregate percentage of marks, Age shall
be taken into consideration and the older candidates shall be given higher
place in the Merit List.

d) In case of tie in equality of marks and age, the aggregate percentage of


marks in all subjects of the qualifying examination up to two decimal
places

14. PROCEDURE OF SELECTION:


Selection will be made by the Selection Committee appointed by Vice-
Chancellor, KNR University of Health Sciences based on the web-options
given by the candidates and their merit.

Selections shall be made local area wise as per the procedure prescribed in
Annexure-III of G.O.P.No.646, Education (W) Dept. dated 10-7- 1979, as
amended in G.O.Ms.No.42, Higher Education (EC2) Dept., dated18-05-
2009.
The Selection Committee will allot a candidate seats to the Nursing College
based on their web-options and merit.

Selected candidates will receive the allotment message on the registered


mobile number after allotment of seat if allotted.

Selected candidates have to download the allotment order on payment of


University fee of Rs. 6,000/- (Rupees Six thousand only ) besides payment
gateway charges through payment gateway and report to the Principal of
concerned college along with all Original Certificates and pay the tuition fee
as fixed by Government at the college to complete the admission process.

The schedule for verification of original certificates and counselings


will be notified later.

15. CLOSURE OF ADMISSIONS: Admissions will be closed after the final round
of counseling and as per the date notified by the University. Vacancies arising
after closure of admission shall not be filled.

16.POWERS OF THE PRINCIPAL OF THE INSTITUTION


Notwithstanding anything contained in these Regulations, the Head of the
Institution may at any time, either su-moto or an application made by any
person after due and proper enquiry, if satisfied that the candidate has
furnished incorrect information or enclosed false certificates or fraudulently
obtained admission may for the reasons to be recorded in writing, by
order cancel her admission provided that no such admission shall be
cancelled without giving a reasonable opportunity for showing cause as to
why his/her admission should not be cancelled.

Against any such order of the Head of the Institution, an appeal can be
made to the Registrar, KNR University Health Sciences.

17. POWERS OF KNR UNIVERSITY OF HEALTH SCIENCES:

The University may either su-moto or on an application made


to University can call for and examine the records relating to any
selection or admission or cancellation thereof made by the concerned
authority for the purpose of verifying the correctness, legality or
proprietary of such selection or admission or cancellation and pass
such order in relation there to as KNRUHS deems fit, including
cancellation of the selection already published or admission already
made, provided that the University may, before canceling such
selection or admission, give an opportunity to the authority and to
the person affected to show cause against such cancellation.

18 .UNIVERSITY IS THE FINAL AUTHORITY OF SELECTION PROCEDURE:


All selections made under these regulations shall be subject to
such directions or orders as may be made by the University from time
to time.
19. REGULATION FOR BREAK-UP STUDY:

If a student absents continuously for a period of 91 days or more and


seeks permission to attend the course, his / her application in prescribed
format by paying requisite fee in favour of Registrar, KNR University of
Health Sciences payable at Warangal shall be forwarded to the Registrar,
KNR University of Health Sciences with the recommendation of the
Principal. Regulations for re-admission after break of study along with
application format and fee payable is available in the University. The
candidates are advised to refer the regulations before submitting the
application and paying the fee. If they fulfilled the regulatory conditions,
they may submit applications through the Principal of the College by
paying the fee.

20. TIME FOR COMPLETION OF COURSE: Candidate should complete the


course within the duration equivalent to double the period of course of
study. i.e.,: 8 years for BSc Nursing 4YDC.

21. MIGRATION /TRANSFER:

No Transfers during the course period are permitted from


one college to another college under any circumstances.

ALL ORIGINAL CERTIFICATES ALONG WITH SELF ATTESTED COPIES TO BE
SUBMITTED AT THE TIME VERIFICATION AT COUNSELING CENTER.
1) Print out of on-line applicationForm.
2) SSC or any equivalent examination showing date ofbirth.
3) Memorandum of Marks of the qualifying examination for admission i.e.
Intermediate or EquivalentExamination.
4) Bridge course certificate ifapplicable.
5) TransferCertificatefromtheInstitutioninwhichthecandidatelaststudied.
6) Candidates who have studied in the state of Telangana/A.P.
(a) If the candidate has studied in any educational institution, study / bonafide
certificate from VI to Intermediate shall besubmitted.
(b) A candidate who has studied in 2 or more institutions in Telangana / A.P., study /
bonafide certificate from VI to Intermediate in those places shall besubmitted.
(c) A candidate who has not studied in any school / institution, a residence certificate
for that period only shall besubmitted.
(d) Candidates who have not studied in any school / college in the state of Telangana
but resided in Telangana with private study in Telangana & seven years residence
certificate mentioning the period of residence preceding the qualifying examination
(6th to Inter) by the candidate claiming eligibility as a local by virtue of residence
shall be submitted.

7) Candidates who have studied in the institutions outside the state of Telangana have
to submit 10 years’ residence certificate of the either of the parents issued by MRO
to claim seats under unreserved category.
8) Latest Permanent Caste Certificate in case of Scheduled Caste/ Scheduled Tribes/
Backward Class Candidates issued by competent authority of state of Telangana.
NOTE: Self Attested copies of the above certificates shall be submitted along with the
filled in application form.
i) The admissions into the colleges are subject to affiliation of the University for the
academic year 2020- 2021.
ii) In case any new colleges are affiliated to the University for the academic year
2020- 2021, the seats in those colleges also will be filled up. No further notification
will be issued.
iii) The names of the colleges with number of seats that are affiliated after
notification will be displayed at the time of counseling.
iv) Distribution of seats among various categories for admission in the above colleges
will be displayed at the time of Counseling.
