Question No. 1: You have recently been assigned a task to classify purchases of UCP Business
School considering their cost, and available sources of supply. In Kraljic’s purchasing portfolio,
under which headings strategic, ‘leverage’, ‘routine’ and ‘bottleneck’ would you place the
following items and why?
a) Personal computers
b) Multimedia screens
c) Whiteboard markers
d) Printers
e) Office chairs
A firm stock technique is fundamentally relies upon the two measurements which is the benefit
sway and other is the inventory hazard.
In the Krajlic framework we will see which things will be fallen in the bottleneck, normal, vital
and influence boxes. In the jug neck things, we ought to guarantee the inventory of the item,
another crate which is key things we will frames an organizations, thirdly, in the standard thing
we will disentangle the things and computerize the errands and in the last influence things we
will eliminate the buying power and went to the cost minimization side.
In the event that we saw the PCs screens in the essential things which is the upper right of the
framework since we center around the drawn out association with the providers. It is
exceptionally sway on the client's experience. In this framework, cost of the PCs and the mixed
media are enormous extent of the expense of the framework cost. Also, these things are
extremely fundamental for the business college as a result of schooling matters a great deal.
In the krajlic network we should see the board markers in the standard things since it is the non-
basic thing and we should just robotize the cycle in that
In karjalic grid we should saw printers in the influence things on the grounds that there are
numerous provisions of that item and in this we will go to the cost decrease by the opposition
between the providers. In this there are numerous providers of the markers.
In the bottleneck we ought to consider to guarantee the inventory and in the framework we
should have to store media and seats in the development to guarantee the stockpile of this.

Question No. 2: Some supply management experts argue that suppliers should not receive
rewards for doing something that is already expected (e.g., continuously improving quality). Do
you agree with this position? What are some common examples of rewards that a supplier might
expect to receive?
In the my point of view I do not agree that you should be rewarded for doing your job as an
continuous quality practice. That should be the level of movement of all businesses or they
should not be in business in the first place. I feel like I have things there on time, usually and at a
very good cost the expectations of any supplier and that doesn’t have to be rewarded. The
problem arises when an organization is not fully informed of the requirements for a provider and
leaves room for translation.
On the other hand, I agree that rewards are required when the supplier proceeds above
compliance with the expectations of the contract agreement. When they offer a better product
than their competitors and continually improve that product without being asked, pressured or
coerced then a reward-based reward should be introduced.
Example For example, some companies use the Key Performance Indicators to act as an
incentive. This gives the supplier an indication of what will satisfy you in terms of performance
and therefore they are encouraged to meet the service standards you expect.

b) Regarding single source versus multi-source supply, should GM solely rely on one
supplier or work with multiple suppliers?
In the my point of view they have two aspect one is single source and other one is multiple
source and my advice is to take the multiple source because in the multiple soruce they have to
measure the quality of product by different supplier so if sometime they have an emergency
order by multiple supplier they can also fulfill that order so that is the best way.

b) What should be done with suppliers receiving B grades? Should they be dropped or
should HTC work with them to improve their grades?
In the my point of view they have not to work with supplier receiving B grade because they
can disturb the quality of work. If supplier B cannot improve their quality they can drop him
and find another supplier which can give him the best quality of product so that is the best
way due to B grade the image of company also not good so they can drop him
