Based on what I have learned when I was in senior high school probably based on the

style of painting I think this is one of the paintings of one of the racing modern Filipino
contemporary artist Julius Redillas because as far as I know this is his clean, unique, simple,
and original portraits style As a painting artist that makes him famous and another as far as I
remember on our lessons when we tackling the famous modern contemporary artist of the
Philippines redillas started on making watercolor paintings if we notice his artworks we will
notice that it seems that everything is a compost image of blood veins or naked skinless body
muscles built together and combined and formed a very good image and this is a kind of painting
where portraiture and surrealist mixed to create a beautiful art work. Perhaps also from the
perspective that his paintings are inspired by his idol painter .that is a Filipino American artist
Alfonso Angel Yangco Ossorio who was a medical illustrator during world war II who created
one of the most controversial art the mural of the “Angry Christ” Church. . Which was I think
the inspiration of Julius Redillas in his paintings because it has a little big similarity on the
style that they used on their works of art. Redillas don't paint faces realistically; however, we
can have a delicate glimpse of his paintings identities through the silhouettes or through their
eyes, but still they remain enigmatic, even faceless. He prefer that, when viewing the paintings,
his audience would also try to "feel" the portraits rather than just trying to link them to
identifiable figures. There is a sense of rarity to it that’s within reach but still not quite
identifiable. As for the interpretation of his artworks, I have no clear knowledge because even
our teachers at that time did not have a definite interpretation of redillas' works of art because
based on what my teachers taught then, redillas allegedly took his favorite photos on the
internet and he in turn makes paintings. but if I were to interpret it based on the form and looks
of the woman the artist would like to convey to us the message that a person's beauty is not
based on outer appearance but on what is in his/her heart. Everyone living in this world are
perfectly beautiful, you are perfect, and you’re wired for struggles but you are worthy of love
and belongings embrace your imperfections and celebrate them always remember that a
diamond with a flaws are worth more than a pebbles without imperfections. honestly while I
am doing this essay there is a song playing in my mind it is the Beautiful by Christina Aguilera
(You are beautiful No matter what they say Words can't bring you down Oh no You are
beautiful In every single way Yes words can't bring you down Oh no So don't you bring me
down today).
